My nails always peel and break. My hair is so sensitive and breaks in the middle so easily. I condition my hair alot .. and that seems to help . BUt, I am beginning to link the two and thinking I might be missing something. I tried" hair, skin and nails" (1 bottle) and didnt really see any results. My friend told me to drink a cup of milk every night. Should I try that? What makes your hair and nails stronger?? Any Specific drink or vitamin I could take?

There are specific vitamins on the market for hair and nails, and they work had the same problems, but one bottle is not enough, 3 months minimum, at for your nails extra calcium, hair I would go to a good hairdresser and have some volume cut into it and make sure not dead ends, wish you luck!

Eating a healthy diet might help. Things with vitamin E and Calcium are good places to start. Almonds are good, dairy is good. With your hair, you might be over-conditioning. Too much conditioner weighs down your hair and may cause it to break. Choose either a lighter conditioner, or don't use as much. For your nails, put on nail polish. The nail polish helps strengthen nails as long as it is on.

I have weak hair and nails, after having a child and taking pre-natal vitamins my nails and hair got really strong. Now I take generic prenatal vitamins I buy at Family Dollar or Wal-Mart. Anywhere vitamins are sold and my nails and har are extremmely strong. My grandmother always kept a lemon and rubbed it into her cuticle every day and let me tell you she drew blood when she pinched you!
Give it a try.

Hair and nail products wont help. Eat a healthy, well-balanced diet and take multivitamins like Centrum once a day after meal..that is a healthy supplement in case your body is lacking some nutrients it needs to function well and remain healthy. In like three months-time you'll see some changes and some new hair strands will be visible too...

Get you some prenatal vitamins - I think you may be able to buy some brands over the counter. They will help with nails & hair. Unfortunately I think most of this is probably genetic.

Are you getting enough protein in your diet? Your hair and nails are made of protein, my nails get weak sometimes, and i take pre-natal vitamins, like one every two or three days they really make your nails long and hard, and your hair grow. hope it helps

Nails get brittle if there is a deficency of Zinc and calcium. eat lots of fresh friuts and veg for healthy hairs.
u can massage ur hair with some good hair oil or warm olive oil. leave the oil in hair overnight and wash nxt day.
for nails, u can try dipping ur hands in warmolive oil and then wear gloves afterwards. keep hands in gloves overnight. this wud really help making ur nails strong. also, use a nail varnish for weak and brittle nails. this has really halped me to grow my nails healthy. manicure them regularly, and keep them painted with good paint.

Calcium supplements, perhaps?
As for your hair, I learned a tip from my stylist about helping dry hair: Look for products with ingredients that end in "-cone" (as in silicone), which will protect delicate, brittle hair. I like Infusium 23 products, myself.
