In the late 70s, it was in a powder form as well as the 'candies.' You mixed it with I believe 8 oz of skim milk. If I remember correctly, you drank one for breakfast, one for lunch, then at a sensible dinner. I wondered if after the Aids epidemic came into the news, that is why it was no longer sold or advertised. Actually Slim Fast powder that came along later, was basically the same thing. I remember my mom buying the AYDS candy to help in weight loss.

WOW..I used to eat those many years ago to loose weight..I haven't seen them for years..how you just types in for a search for Ayds candy?..

i used it back in the 50's.........when i use to work double
shift. it really worked for me.i use to go to work and have both of my uniform pockets chugged full of Ayds candy...
my co- workers always called me POCKETS. my weight stayed at 129 for years.it gave me plenty of energy!!!!!

they really shouldve changed the name the min that aids came out because im sure that candy could help us fat americans
