Thats a Good question, since soul is eternal..in terms of re incarnation its a soul that has been on earth many times before.
In our lives we may come across people with an aura of peace and great self knowledge..and the ability to share..peace hope love and inspiriation..sometimes we find no reason for their ability and reason that they must be an old soul...some children are in fact very old souls

An old soul is a body who has an old spirit in it. A spirit that has lived many lives before. That's why there are some people who are very mature for thier ages & some who never grow up. We are all here to learn & to teach...an old soul is usally wiser than a new soul.
