First Adam may not even be a real name but a representation. The word really means dirt or dust (adama).

Taking him as a person, all of us are like Adam. Sometimes we are selfish. Sometimes we help one another. We strive to move toward doing things for one another that make the world better.

The words heaven, hell and original and sin are church words that try to explain things we really know nothing about in the first place. What is important is to live our lives to the full.

The entire concept is ludacris.

First off God lied as quoted in Genesis 2:16-17
"And the LORD God commanded the man, "You are free to eat from any tree in the garden; but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat of it you will surely die."

Well, they didn't die so obviously "god" lied.

And after they ate of the tree what did this "god" say?

Genesis 3:22 "And the LORD God said, "The man has now become like one of us, knowing good and evil. He must not be allowed to reach out his hand and take also from the tree of life and eat, and live forever."

"The man has now become like one of us"???

US??? I thought there was only one god? So who is this "US" all of a sudden?

Also, during this time the serpent is punished even though it was the serpent which told the truth to Eve.

Very odd. God is a liar and the serpent is punished for telling the truth.

Now, why is this story so important? For the imagery connected with the serpent. Keep in mind that in Roman mythology the serpent is a symbol of good so in order to as clearly break from the Roman beliefs, where most of the converts came from, the newly formed Christian religion had to destrpy the Roman idols.

It's all publicity.

As for the whole concept of "original sin" whose original sin do you mean?

The Classical Biblical and Orthodox Jews believe that eating of the fruit was the original sin whereas the Reformist Jews belive that is our individual evil actions as human beings. They see the eating of the fruit as what gave us our free wills and they beleive that god does not want robots but that he instead wants people to do what is good and right.

In a complete reversal, many Gnostic sects see the "Fall of Man" as the freeing of humanity's minds and souls and do not see it as a bad thing.

As for Christianity I cannot even begin to recount how many different arguments there are on the topic of "original sin".

As such, your question is wholly incapable of being correctly answered due to many reasons. First, we have no conclusive proof of the existence of a heaven or a hell. Second, the hubristic belief that one's religion is the only one above all others negates any possible answer other than one that agrees with your personal beliefs. Third, since you would first have to determine from which religious view point you are making this decision you could only then beging to analyze that religions canons and beliefs and make an educated guess from there.

By the way, for my quotes from the bible I used the New International Version but there are over 70 different versions of the bible in use around the world today. Almost 20 are in English.

In closing, my answer is that Adam is in neither heaven nor hell for not only was Adam fictional but so are the locations of heaven and hell. The bible is not the literal word of god and anyone who believes it to be so is a very, very dangerous person. The bible is meant to be nothing more than a collection of quaint stories to help us make moral decisions. It's a guidepost, nothing more, nothing less.

Adam is resting in the ground as the Bible states that those who die sleep until Jesus returns to the earth a second time. Adam was forgiven but he still died and is in the ground until the final judgement. He was forgiven because they started the practice of sacrifice for sins after they sinned which was a symbol of there acceptance of Jesus' future death on the cross which will be the final sacrifice that is why we don't need to sacrifice lambs and such anymore. I hope that this was helpful.

This is a parable in the Bible to teach people about obeying the word of God. The Old Testament is a book of parables to help people live a good, decent life. So there was no real Adam & Eve. If this particular story were true who did Cain and Abel mate with to propagate.....their Mother?

Neither, he is in his grave, wherever that is...only God knows. If you read the bible, you will see that entrance into heaven/hell is only decided when Jesus comes again to judge every man according to his works on earth. He will raise the dead. The thought that people go straight to heaven/hell when they die is a myth brought about by TV.

As for whether Adam will go to heaven or hell, that can only be determined by Jesus as he sees the inner soul and thinking of man and he is the one who decide this because he died for us all.

And as for those who believe that there was no Jesus in heaven at creation, who came up with this plan of salvation...check out the following verses:
Rev 12:7-9 And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven.

And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

Jesus' name before he came to this world to die for us was "Michael" as God the Father's son, he was one who fought with devil and cast him out in first place because Satan or "Lucifer" as he was called then wanted to take over the throne of God the father, his son and their holy spirit.

Original sin is a Christian thing I believe they blame Eve for. But according to them if you believe the whole Jesus thing you are in heaven. Considering Jesus did not become a god till Constantine made him one in 325 C.E.; everyone before the council of Nicaea are in hell.

Adam is dead, as Jehovah had said he would be.
Genesis 2:15 And Jehovah God proceeded to take the man and settle him in the garden of E′den to cultivate it and to take care of it. 16 And Jehovah God also laid this command upon the man: “From every tree of the garden you may eat to satisfaction. 17 But as for the tree of the knowledge of good and bad you must not eat from it, for in the day you eat from it you will positively die.”
Genesis 3:19 In the sweat of your face you will eat bread until you return to the ground, for out of it you were taken. For dust you are and to dust you will return.”

Psalm 146:4 His spirit goes out, he goes back to his ground; In that day his thoughts do perish.

Ecclesiastes 9:5 For the living are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all, neither do they anymore have wages, because the remembrance of them has been forgotten.

Ezekiel 18:4 Look! All the souls—to me they belong. As the soul of the father so likewise the soul of the son—to me they belong. The soul that is sinning—it itself will die.

Job 34:15 All flesh will expire together, And earthling man himself will return to the very dust.

Ecclesiastes 3:20 All are going to one place. They have all come to be from the dust, and they are all returning to the dust.

No where does God say you will burn in hell! He just says you will die!
