Without something pulling us away from the Divine, we would be overwhelmed by God, we lose our free will, and creation could not exist as it does now.

God is in one direction.

Satan is in the other.

God is in every direction, represented by light, and Satan is also everywhere, represented by veils. From this viewpoint, evil is defined as a force that dims the light.

Our tendency is to hold on to old ways of seeing things.

It seems easier to define good and evil and to know exactly how to deal with it.

Evil is a subjective definition that reflects what society sees as wrongdoing.
The definition of evil changes over time. There is NO empirical definition of the word.
What might be evil to one person is just fine to another.

Evil is a conduit of Over-Conceptualizations...

It really doesnt exist..but its used to describe something outward..like an act..or an idea..or a thought....in it and of itself..it doesnt exist..it only exists IF you give it any energy..and that comes from you..good or bad..right or wrong..its all a matter of tastes and degrees....it has No face..unless you give it one..it is out of nothingness and so will remain in nothingness..it doesnt exist!!

No one is Pure evil....or Totally Good

we only drink from the edges of both..it is human nature to be so.

Evil comes from the heart of humans. Satan cannot act out in our lives until a "thought" is there. Every sin begins with a thought. And just as God knows our hearts and minds, so too does Satan. So sin doesn't really come from Satan, it comes from man, Satan just "uses" the evil thoughts and selfish desires and uses them against us.

Well, I don't know, all I can think of, it comes from within and perhaps what type of nurturing we've had in our up-bringing with the possibility of chemical imbalances that may or may not have come from polutants that have been filtered by the earth for many many years.

What most call "evil" comes from attachment to ego. Remember the term evil is also a judgment so be careful of its use.

Evil is the absence of good. Our "evil sides" or sins can be innate... there are "sins" that people are born being prone to commit. Takes lots of prayer to avoid them...
