Cherries contain significant amounts of melatonin, a powerful antioxidant that is considered more potent that vitamins C, E, and A, because it is soluble both in fat and water. Cherries help to relieve the pain of arthritis, gout and possibly fibromyalgia. To date, no other fruit or vegetable has been found to have the pain relieving properties of cherries.

I bought a can of cherries when I first got married to make a cherry pie. They still had the pits in them, and our guest almost broke a tooth on them. Not too funny but true. I think eternity's bowl contains exactly what we deserve for the good we have done in this life.

Fruit is very good for you.
"Reiter recently put some hard science behind the cherry folklore. He conducted a five-month study and found that tart cherries contain significant amounts of melatonin — a hormone produced in the brain’s pineal gland that has been credited with slowing the aging process, and fighting insomnia and jet lag. It’s also being studied as a potential treatment for cancer, depression and other diseases and disorders."

yes, but only eat a handful one day, and increased amounts thereafter - if you eat a bunch the first day; major, massive, monstrous belly ache may ensue......I learned the hard way - felt like I was fixin' to die...
