Don't get me wrong, I can enjoy a pint or 2 but then I would rather have coke or something - I dont see the need to have to get drunk... What do you all think?

Davd G: Please dont spout your Christian s***e in my question. Go to the religious questions for that. Sorry if I have offended anyone but I strongly disagree with religion being forced on people in everday situations and questions.

Not weird at all. There comes a point when drinking becomes less of a pleasure and more like you are drinking TO get drunk - which is pointless. Might as well just take a couple of Vicodin or something. I can only drink a few beers before I have to start having juice or something. There is a certain point when I am out drinking, and I feel like I am not really there - its a bit weird, but i don't feel altogether there, and I like to have to control over myself - especially speech!!!!! Many people go and get drunk for the sheer hell of getting drunk. So, no it's not weird - perfectly normal...........but then it all depends on the individual.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with this. I have the same problem in my crowd. There are always negative comments about how I don't get drunk. I love to hang out at the bar, I love to have fun with my friends, I love to stay out late, but I do not enjoy getting drunk. I usually end up feeling sick before I get any sort of "nice buzz" like most others seem to.
I don't see a problem with it. I'll never get a DUI, I don't spend as much money on alcohol, and I never have a hang over in the morning. And, as far as I'm concerned, I had as much fun as everyone else.

I enjoy an occasional adult beverage... or three... but I don't like to get drunk or get into a position where I'm not in control of myself. I enjoy a night of fun with the friends, and alcohol is often a part of it, but I don't enjoy being drunk at all. I don't use drugs for the same reason... I can control my level of intoxication by limiting what I drink, since I know how alcohol affects me and what my tolerence is, but drugs tend to be home-made (or home grown) and there is no standard of quality or purity, you get what you get and have no control over the experience.

to be honest I hate getting drunk. it seems good at the time but who wants to feel like death in the morning. i have 2 kids and can't be doing with a hangover. i went to a foo fighters concert last night in manchester and there was a proper drunk who spoiled it all by barging into everyone. in the end i gave up and left my husband moshing because i couldn't be doing with it. what makes people want to drink so much that they forget what they have done. what a waste of money. would rather buy a pair of shoes or a bag meself!!

I think it's a matter of personal opinion. Some people enjoy the feeling of intoxication, others don't like the feeling that it gives them. I like having a pint or two also but some feel queasy or out of control after more than that.

It's not weird at all.
Who really wants to drink so much they don't know what happened, stumble all the way home and get cuts all over their legs from falling down, vomit all over the bathroom, wake up stinking like vomit, can't eat anything all day, and have a horrible pounding headache for hours and hours. Not to mention making yourself look like an idiot in front of everyone.
I'm certainly beyond it at this point.

Good question, you are probably of a strong character? most people drink due to inhabitions, i was a VERY shy person in my formative years, i soon found booze! and i drink to this day, i am no longer shy, but it's a bad habit now! My hat goes off to you sir, your better off without booze it's cost me thousands of pounds over the years and got me in a whole load of trouble and misery! NO your not weird that you dont like getting drunk your just tough!

I would recommend that that you read the King James version of the Bible. It contains the answers to your questions.
God the Father knew you before you we born in eternity past and when you were formed in your mother womb. We are born with a Soul that will live for eternity. We must decide as a free will agent to accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior or not.
Our decision determines whether we spend eternity in Heaven or Hell.
I Pray that you make the right decision.
Jesus Christ Loves You.
God Bless you is my prayer.
David

Absolutely not weird. I find that there are times when i can stop at 2 beers and have a good night, and then there are times when at 4am I'm still at the bar ordering another round and my friends are crying around me feet. So I guess I'm saying that its all about how you feel on the day/night.
And everyone know what happens after we've had our fun.... we pay for it twice over the next day.

Personally I enjoy getting drunk. Doesn't make me immature or pathetic though. I won't go to the extremes of being so drunk that I pass out but I have no problems with sitting with my mates until i've had one to many. If you don't like getting drunk then thats fine. Each to his/her own.
