i had been dating this guy for close to 3 months...we always had tons of fun with eachother and total chemistry. you would think that is the person you are supposed to be with right? Im 26 and hes 35. ive met his whole family and they loved me. the last time we talked, he was making plans for us to go to the adirondacks for the 4th of july. the next day i never heard from him...its been close to a week with no call, no answering my phone calls, no emails. im pretty smart with relationships and never saw this one comming...im devastated and embarassed that i was so fooled. i know for a fact hes back with his ex gf of a whoppin age of 20. thats the only logical excuse. i called his sister to make sure he wasnt dead...and unfortunatly he wasnt. what the hell is wrong with guys that they could be so deceitful?

you haven't talked to him in a week right? so how would you know he's really back with his ex? it is a possibility, if that's what you want to believe but it can also be that there was something that came up that he needed to attend to. his family may not know what his problems are. but if he is indeed only fooling around with you, then he is not worth it. don't go running after him because you'll only look like a fool, desperate for him. i don't know you, but you deserve better than this. give yourself some time alone okay? good luck! :)

Well life's just like that when you're in your 20s...maybe he never wanted to split from the 20 y.o ex in the first place, but got on with being with you, if she dumped him, and is now just passing you off as a "casual fling" to her, so she doesn't get upset about it. One thing's for sure...dating people on the re-bound is never a good idea!
Have some fun - tell them you were cheating on him and that they probably both now have a really unfortunate disease...maybe she'll dump him and you can turn him down when he comes crawling back to you... :-)

You know Amanda, when I was younger, I thought it was "okay" to just stop calling someone too. I realized as I got older, and as it happened to me too, that it just isn't right to chicken out, and avoid telling someone you're breaking up with them. Your BF should have given you the courtesy of a call or a face-to-face breakup, at least. Probably someday it will happen to him too. Some girl will just dump him without a word, and he'll be upset. Then he will learn his lesson. Meanwhile, just move on and forget him.

It sucks that he couldn't be a man about it and just tell you what was going on instead of just cutting you off. All i can say is a lot of times you have to be sure that everything is completely over with the ex-girlfriend before you get involved with someone.

Move on. Any person who does not feel the need to bring proper closure to a relationship is scum. Look back on it as a mistake that you made and learn from it. Embark on new waters exercising the caution that you derived from this error. Do not worry, everything will be fine. DO NOT think about revenge, it's harmful to you as a person.

i just dont know about people anymore ecspecially men,i would be so hurt and say the least pissed off i would contact him and let him know how you feel and let his family know what he has done to you in a civil manner even though you want to rip his em off his body i would sad to say not have anything to do with him again it will be hard because im sure you are inlove with this guy now and he has broke your heart but is better to get away from the jerk now than letting him screw you over again,people like this will do this to people until it happens to them so i believe in what goes around comes around so sweetheart be strong and do what is right for you it will be hard but you sound smart and can get through this it makes me so mad because it has happened to me too and it hurts like hell good luck to you

you're still very young :)
a better guy will come along.....
or perhaps the guy got sidetracked a bit and needed to work something out on his own without you for some reason.
i don't know. anything's possible.
if he does come back at some point, make sure you figure out what was going on.
don't get too discouraged.... experiences like this probably help you to find better guys.

Some men have trouble telling girls how they truely feel. So instead they seperate themselves and hope that the other person gets their hint. Men can be heartless at times.
