Depends. Depends on who asks - depends on who has the most disposable income - depends on how much is involved in the cost - depends on the relationship between the two people. Most people would say that no, the guy should not always have to pay - but a flat answer like that just doesn't cover the contingencies. If she asks, then she should pay. If he asks, then he should pay. If they develop a relationship, then she should step up to the plate (to make a bad a pun) now and then, even if she has to save and plan to do so. If she doesn't make as much as he does, then he should pay for the expensive dinners; if she can cook, then she should have him in for dinner at her home ... there are a lot of variables to consider rather than the simple question as to who should pay.

I dont think a guy should always have to pay for dinner. I have offered to pay but my b/f gets annoyed so I just let him pay all the time.

The first couple of times, I think a guy should pay. But after a few dates, it should be split up or she should offer to pay at least once and a while.
Women shouldn't always expect a man to take care of them.
If the relationship gets serious, they will spend the rest of their lives sharing the responsibility of meals, rent etc. Why not start early?

A girl should offer to pay as well. You could take turns paying. For example, he pays this week and you pay the next time that you go out.

I think on the first couple few dates, guy should always pay, if the relationship continues then it's not bad to have the girl offer to pay, realtionships are 50/50.

A woman should pay sometimes. The thing is that men have always been paying so women never felt the need that they should pay. But hey guys if you want me to pay, I'll pay. I have no problems with that.

It depends on the guy. If he is chivalrous, he will pay for his lady. If he is an mcp, he pays only his share. If he is a miser, he waits for the girl to pay for him.
I always feel that it is the man-thing to pay for the lady, no matter who is stronger financially. Such act just does not die in this new age. It is the thoughtlessness of the guy.

Hell no come on girls should pay some time now it depends cause if the guy is married and the wife don't work and she says she will pay don't let her cause some kind of way you're paying for it anyway:)

girls should offer to pay when they can, because u cant expect guys to pay all the time. that said, by the time there's a real relationship, this shouldn't be an issue anymore. and, there's always hawker centres for real cheap food, so thats a good thing for guys. haha.
