hey woow.. saddam hussein was not involved with A-quaida. You were supposed to go after the terrorists, you were not supposed to INVADE and OCCUPY to oil rich countries..

You can't have true democracy in Iraq, the people there will always vote ANTI- US, you destroyed their countries , killed families. The only thing the US succeeded in doing is bring civil war

Personally , I think that americans are hiding behind the illusory mask of patriotism hoping that their stupidity will be ignored or forgiven.

Iraq in my opinion would have been better with Hussein that this Civil WAr. Also under Hussein any sales of oil benefited Iraqis because Oil was nationalized.

To answer you questions one by one -
Judging from the postings here, most of them. They all know that it was about everything else other than the official mumbo jumbo but refuse to acknowledge it because obviously it would make them seem greedy which doesnt fit to well with their Batman image which the've conjured up for themselves. Strangely enough many believe the fantasy that Iraq is a whooping success story. Forget about the forty odd people who die a day, forget about the fact that the US supported Iraqi government doesnt control an inch of dust outside of its precious greenzone. Some will still harp on about the relationship between Saddam and Al-Qaeda even though its been clearly proven that no such relationship existed. Some will castigate you for believing what they call liberal media propoganda, the voice of the hippies for spelling out the truth before them. If they only knew that they themselves are the subjects of a more vicious propoganda effort by there leaders whom they blindly follow. Others will castigate you in the name of freedom trying to convince you and their own conscience that this is all about dear freedom. In anycase it doesnt matter who's money it is because no serious rebuilding was planned or intended in the first place. Do you really think that they give a damn about the welfare of the Iraqi people. Do you want to know the real reason for this butchery called Operation Iraqi Freedom. Read the second comment. Slowly the truth emerges.

Considering that it is very likely that you are writing from a country that the United States has helped or defended at some time, I'm unsure of how to answer this question. Maybe I should start by saying that apparently you live in a place that has the freedom of speech. You may be in Europe, which would mean that there is a good chance you would be speaking German if not for the US. You may be in any one of a number of countries that the US has provided humanitarian aid to. If you are seriously wondering if the US has provided money to Iraq, you should close your mouth and not return until you have educated yourself.
If you are merely upset that people are dying in the world, and it is an utter shame that our planet has come to the point it has, then I empathize with you. I read the newspaper today, and every page except one contained worldwide conflict. Most were entirely covered by it. So unless everyone - yes that includes you too - decides to quit talking crap on the internet and do something meaninful to end the violence, stop blowing each other up, and quit killing everyone who disagrees with you, I fear we will be handing down a decimated planet to the cockroaches in a short time.
PS - has Korea launched their rocket over Japan yet, or are they waiting for an opportune time that the world is watching so they can display their peace loving philosophy with a rocket launch over another country? Is Iran still unwilling to negotiate to end the possibility of even more nuclear weapons on this planet, or are they waiting for that opportune moment to launch a weapon at the talks that they won't attend.

In closing -
I recommend you leave Santa Claus out of it, cuz unless we all get serious, and make a difference - Even Santa and his elves are screwed.

The issue of war in Iraq is not something one can give detailed view on it in this field. But I can say that it is not a war on anything other than Islam and Muslim. Bush's sayings that they are liberating the people of Iraq is not the real reason why they are there. How can a person come with heavy missiles, machineguns war plains marciless soldiers, and start bombarding your towns and villages, schools, shrines, killing your young children, women, men, those of old age, inprison your people, and humiliate your religion, mosques, Islamic Schools, limit your right of movement, declaring something similar to state of emergency in your country, stoppled your government, disunite your people, steal your oil, multreat inmates among your captured soldiers, and yet when you say "NO" to all these inhuman actions you turned to be a TERRORIST. Is this what is called freedom. This is not a freedom. It is some thing else.

Americans are terrorist (especially Bush/Blair) history will never forgive them. Iraqis must depend their country from terrorists, invaders, aggressors, killers, asassins, murderers, destroyers, and their top enermies. Enermies must be drived out of Iraq

Santa Claus and Iraq? Study your American "slang" a little more before you make a complete *** out of yourself online. And you are very brave to call Americans morons online where the only retribution you will receive is a verbal pounding, which you fully deserve. Maybe we will use YOUR money to rebuild Iraq. Carboard boxes and Ramen noodle for everybody!!! Get a life!

The whole Iraq fiasco was financially driven. In fact all war is a business, not a pursuit of freedom or justice at all. The Americans went to war to satiate their own financial wants and needs. It's not a difficult thing to work out really. The USA paid large amounts of money to actually fund Bin Laden and Sadaam in the 90's. They felt that the country's oil was worth more than the lives of its citizens.

Nothing I can say will make American citizens see what Bush really is. All I can do is sit back and watch him tear the world to shreds while his country gets rich from his fraudulent and illegal activities. Fact - America's occupation of Iraq was illegal under international law. Fact - George bush is hated the world over, (he even got egged at his own inauguration ceremony). Fact - Americans, I hate to say, are considered globally to be of the most ignorant in terms of cultural awareness and by default should not be allowed to decide what's best for a country they know nothing about.

A word of advice America - stick to producing clinically obese populations and selling guns to your citizens. Let the rest of the world take care of themselves. We don't need or want you help actually.

Someone had to say it right?...

If you spent more time paying attention to the facts and less time letting your mind be bent by propoganda or extreme ideas, you'd then be free to form your own opinion and wouldn't have to ask such a silly question. The war has happened for many reasons and if you think oil is the sole reason, you are a very narrow minded person in abd need of further education. We were attacked by an extremist faction that has been attacking us for years, Osama Bin Laden's AL Quaeda. This faction lives in many different Arabic Nations. Sadam Hussein was known to be funding these types of things. He murdered his way into a position of power. HE was a vile and viscous dictator who needed to be taken down and the Iraqi people given the chance to govern themselves in a fair and democratic way. It seems to me people with extremist views want to force them on a majority of people in Iraq that doesn't share those same views. US has been rebuilding iraw or trying to every since the shock and awe compaign. Watch the news, contracters, workers and truckers have been kidnapped since day one. You obviously dont' have a clue what's going on, The president of the United States of America has been passing bills for billions and billions of HARD EARNED AMERICAN dollars to rebuild Iraq. You honestly think it wouldn't be in much better progress if extremist fighters were still trying to push thier own agenda, kidnapping and killing our people as well as thier own? Sounds to me like you need to spend less time constructing your beliefs by what you read or hear or see in the media and more time forming your own opinion based on what's actually happening.

Biggest mistake was the USA going into Iraq to help the people all they really wanted was to be nuked as they know that their country and the whole middle east is a pigs toilet and must be wiped out from the face of the earth.
