Feeling comfortable with others is not really a difficult thing. Its just a matter of self respect, confidence and honesty.
It will difficult if you are not honest to yourself and other people. Self respect, is how you carry yourself when communicating people. Honesty, is by being truthful and sincere to everybody you are dealing with.
Try these 3 and it will be easier for you to communicate easily.

Most people are repulsed by hypocrites/phonies.
Practise honesty of mind, sincerity of spirit and detachment.
Honesty of mind is consistency in word, thought and deed. Avoid thinking one thing, saying something completely different, and still doing something else completely different from the other two.
Sincerity of spirit is the TOTAL honesty and attitude displayed when one is having a 'heart to heart' talk with someone.
Detachment is not allowing the ego to become the jail-house of your mind, spirit and body, thereby freeing you for the personality to express the real you. Respect all, be attached to NOTHING.
Personality is defined as the totality of ones words, thoughts and deeds.
This personality is SUPPOSED to reflect the real you, which is a spark of divine life, and which is harmless in word, thought and deed.
Just be you nice, normal, natural self, and you'll be just fine.

I always think that the first date should be a movie ,, Make her chose it though.
Movies are perfect because you both don't have to do a lot of talkin, So you sit there together, break the ice, without being nervous or feeling like you have nothing to say :-)
other things you can do is cook together, or anything that needs both of you to work together :-)

I show an interest in their interests. By finding some common ground, you realize that you're both very similar, and before you know it, you're having a really great conversation.

be yourself but not too much, not in excess! manners matters but be at ease!! Not too professional talks, be general minded.
