Pups that age should be fed three times a day, and as stated by the other answerer ( : ) ) Go by the weight on the bag. Just make sure you are using a food designed for puppies.. good brands to use are Hills Science Diet Puppy Small Breed, Eukanueba Puppy small breed, and Iams Puppy small breed... From what I understand those are supposed to be 3 of the best dog food brands you can buy.. Hills, however, can only be bought from a veterinarian's office or a pet store... The others are sold in most grocery stores.

If they are used to just dry food then give dry with some water to drink. I would recommend Nutro Ultra puppy. There are no by products and no corn products either. Read the ingredients in the puppy food before you buy it. Stay away from corn and by products. You want it to start the list with a meat not grain.

At least 3 times a day and read the puppy food bag. It tells how much by weight.

A Chug? i remember when they just used to call a mix....a MIX. designer dogs *rolls eyes*....but anyways,

twice a day, morning and night...thats what ive always done with my dogs when they were pups. i would use dry food, in a saucer..add a bit of water, then heat it up in the microwave for about 20-30secs, then mash the food up with a fork. i find the canned food gave them diaherra. after they ate....it was outside to potty! lol

I disagree with the others here. Yes, ADULT dogs should eat once or twice a day, but puppies should be eating more. I fed my puppy whenever she was hungry. They are used to feeding on their mother at all times during the day. Offer her some food every two hours and see if she takes it. If not, put it back and try again later. I did this for the first couple of months and then slowly switched her to morning and night feedings only.
