The best way to avoid dandruf is not to wash your hair daily.I was my hair once or twice a week.Let the oils build up on your scalp. Was with a mild anti dandruf shampoo.

I use head and shoulders. you can also try raw eggs. if they don't work at least your hair will be really shiney and soft. try www.dandrufftreatment.info that sometimes has some help. have you seen a doctor? i have it right in front of my hairline. very obvious. I wash my hair every two days sometimes three. It isn't healthy more often than that unless you've got really oily hair. but head and shoulder shampoo did it for me.

Don't let your hair dry out....add a little bit of moisure when the days are DRY and HOT through out the day....and give your 'beany' a good masauge every week.....Water drys out the hair although if you swim a lot in rivers and lakes this would not dry out your hair but corined water will and also don't use too much soap when washing your hair.....combing a bit is good .....

Be very careful on the brand name shampoo's that you use.
A number of years ago some of them were reported to having floor wax in their product.

...for me, sometimes flaky scalp can be from temperature changes in the climate from cold to hot, or from allergies--I just stay away from too much wheat and have my bottle of Pantene dandruff shampoo ready--it takes maybe two applications and it's gone...good luck.
