Is it a nice place to visit? And at what time of year?

I've been to Dubai in January. That's the best time to visit because they have the shopping festival in that month and the weather is at its best. In the summer the heat is unbearable. It's a great place to visit!! Nice hotels, night life, restaurants. No crime.

Dubai is a new and ever changing place as they now have an indoor SKI Slope!. There are several places and tours that one can take . The view and the inner charm it has is like no other experience. I, myself go thru Dubai as I work in Iraq and is a transition point for us there.

Oh yes... i loved it there,, would live there in a heartbeat....
The best time is in the early part of the year,, Jan-Feb,, its cooler weather.. not that it gets any cooler......it only gets hotter.....
Plenty do see and do....

Its a good place..to know how a dry place can be be nice..go during winter....dec till feb
