The first question is who are you talking about when you say "we?"
We as a world have countless gods spanning throughout our very short residence here. Jews, Christians and Muslims worship a single god, called (incorrectly) Jehovah or Allah or simply (and strikingly unimaginatively), God wth a capital 'G'.
Other countries have pantheons (assemblies) of gods that govern different aspects of nature and human life. Some worship ideas, like light and dark, or elementalism. Still others worship the spirits of their ancestors. Some even worship the Flying Spaghetti Monster. Some worship no deity at all or believe the universe is a cyclical engine, wherein reincarnation is just a shifting/recycling of energy.
All viewpoints are equally valid, although somone is always trying to validate their beliefs by invalidating someone else's.
the key is whether or not a person's basic goals in life revolve around doing as little harm to others while simultaneously trying to improve their fellow person's lot while here. I am not sure, but I think that should be the governing factor, and not whether you feel put upon by white folk to worship whatever version of god they espouse.

Your question encompasses too broad a spectrum. Are you questioning on a spiritual level or on a man-made religious level? One persons conception of god may differ from another's. And, while some people believe in only one, others believe in many.

As many as you wish to have, of course.

But reality has a way of trumping wishes which can be quite shocking.

For in an unexpected sudden calamity, we may find there's something else beyond our earthly delusion, and a desperate need for soberness gives birth to better things.

Well, here's lookin at ya, anyway.

Only 1 true GOD named Jehova, the Father of Jesus Christ!!! But we can have material things down here on earth that can become our God. such as money, habits, collections, cars, statues, sex, etc. if we let these material inanimate things take over our lives. Who wants to have a conversation and pray to something that is not alive!!!

Only one true God. The God of the King James version of the Holy Bible.
God Bless you is my Prayer.

Everyone thinks that the God they worship is the only one. So that would mean there is only ONE God to every person!

It depends. If you think God is a pink elephant, then she is.

Religion only causes hatred. Avoid it if you can.
