WE have three accounts that we transfer money between (2 never merged from before we got married and one in my employer debit card which I like to have so my husband doesn't transfer money out of my primary account and cause grocery and gas and such to have overlimit fees)
If I'm in line at a machine and I'm going to be a while, I'll usually let everyone go first, because I know it's usually a 30 second thing. I'll be waiting in line figuing out what needs to come out of which account.

They could be checking their account or getting a mini-statement before then taking money out. Also, some people aren't as good as others with technology so like to take their time to get it right, or they have poor eysight, or their fingers don't work so fast anymore. Don't be such a grumpy-guts and have a little patience - maybe one day you'll be less speedy too! :0)

I'm afraid I am one of those who takes an age at a cashpoint. I have a free small business bank account that prohibits me from going to the counter and speaking to a real person. I have to do all my paying in, getting bank statements, etc. from an ATM. Sorry!

I wish I knew - the most annoying thing is when they stand for ages looking at their balance. I mean how long does it take to read three of four numbers and a minus sign?

Balance check ,getting a mini-statement, deciding how much money to withdraw... being a nuisance in general they should use internet banking so they don't use the time of the people in the queue !

Man they are so annoying! I find that a lot of people who take ages don't speak the language of the country and can't figure out which button gives them money:)

Usually they might be staying inside as they wish to be in the AC. That's what I guess they do in India and other hot countries. No idea as to why they do it in the US and the other cold countries (might be using the heater in the ATM's).
