I've known this guy for 4 years now; we actually met when we were kids but lost touch until 4 years ago. Chemistry was strong and we immediately clicked. We always flirted with each other but the distance between us made us not take a step forward. After some time, he met a girl and I told him to go for it although he was reluctant for reasons he never told me. They dated for 1.5 years and during their relationship, our friendship was affected but each time we talked, the chemistry was still there and he always talked bad of her and got jealous whenever I dated or liked someone. They broke up in late 2005 after she cheated on him; he was hurt and tried to get her back. That was the only time I felt he liked her although his flirting and jealousy never stopped. With time, things got more obvious, and now we are practically in a long-distance relationship. He is amazing and makes me so happy but sometimes I get insecure when I think of what he had with his ex. What do you think?

The only reason he was probably hurt and tried to get her back is because she was with someone else. When a person gets hurt it is human nature to want that person. It is like wanting what you can't have. I had a good friend, he was the same way. He had a g/f and wanted to get rid of her. Well, she broke up with him and he was devastated. he did everything to get her back. Doesn't make sense but that is how things are. He wouldn't have been happy if he had gotten her back, he probably would have dumped her shortly there after. Just enjoy your relationship and don't let old relationships get in the way of your happiness. I am glad you two ended up together. Sounds like it was meant to be.

I think you don't really have a reason to feel insecure. Long distance relationships are already tough, so don’t make things more difficult by being suspicious.

there is nothing to anticipate on thinking that he has any ex girl friend.Ur relationship is strong jst make it ur base.If u want him back jst observe tht girl n try to manupulate that where u lack in.Try to bridge this gap n i m sure u wil get him.
