Man get a grip kids run around with no shoes on all the time the problems not if he had on shoes or not the real question would be is your yard safe enough for children to run around with no shoes on if it is then no you were not wrong if it isnt then go clean the nasty mother. And the only people that need shoes are the ones that always wear them your feet get used to walking barefoot after a while and they are much more thougher just like your hands but i know all you ladies are scared of hands and feet that are made to protect themselves yall go to the salon and have it removed but ill admit silky smooth sure does feel good all over

This is YOUR house, and YOUR pool. NObody can tell you what's right or wrong in YOUR house. If you had no problem, then nobody else should have. The only advantage I can see to having the child coming in with shoes is that it protects the feet when outside. So if the child stepped on something that could have injured his feet, you could have been helf financially liable for any medical bills. Don't worry so much about what others think. It's your house, your party, and if they don't like your rules, they don't have to come.

If it was my pool I would have said no.
He could step on something, a bee or glass or something else, and hurt himself and you would be legally liable and could even end up getting sued.
When you have a pool that others use, always have plenty of insurance that will cover the injuries of others at the pool.

No, I don't see how going barefoot would be problem, unless there's glass or other sharps in your lawn you don't know about.

He's gotta take of the shoes to go inot the pool anyway right???

You seem to be EXTREMELY concerned about bare feet! All of your questions are about bare feet! Maybe you should just go to the dollar store, buy about 100 pairs of flip-flops in varying sizes, and keep them around for emergencies.

I don't see a problem with it unless they are going to be playing in the yard then there might be a chance of stepping on something such as a bee, glass, or etc.

Katz - I saw what you wrote so I counted her questions. She has 11 about feet. I agree with you - anyone that worried about them needs mental help.
