I'm Heterosexual. But does God not answer my prayers coz I don't think homosexuality is wrong? Someone said that to me earlier when I asked a question about it. I haven't seen anything that has convinced me it's wrong.

Being Gay is wrong here is your proof
Ro 1:24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:
Ro 1:25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.
Ro 1:26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:
Ro 1:27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompense of their error which was meet.

There is nothing wrong with homosexuality, its just a preference to be with someone of the same sex, due to many reasons: friendship, love and compatiblity to name a few. In regards to the spiritual side of things, if one brings God into this prospective, then one must think about the idea of souls, reincarnation, and the human body being just a shell or host for the soul. Most religions believe that every single person has a soul and this soul is immortal. If that is the case then regardless of what body one is in, male or female, if one loves someone else, its basically two souls loving each other and their outer shell should not matter. So if there is a male-male, female-female or even a male-female couple, and each of them have a soul the body is only used as a means to get closer to God as an end, and therefore homosexuality or heterosexuality should not be an issue to fight over or believe it's wrong in any sense.

I doubt that your prayers are going unanswered because you believe that homosexuality is not wrong. I agree with you - it isn't wrong. And I fail to understand those who claim that it is.

I think that sometimes, with prayers, one expects the problem prayed about to just get magically fixed as though God were a genie. Instead of praying for God to do 'this' or God to do 'that' for you...ask for strength to tackle the problem at hand. And then make an active attempt at trying to fix it yourself. No one is going to fix problems for you - but if you try, you can find ways to fix it yourself and/or find people who will be willing to assist you. There is always a way.

But really, a lot of the anti-homosexual comments in yahoo answers are just hateful and fear driven. It's okay to question things in the bible. It's okay to find your own path. Blind faith does nothing but harm, and won't win you a place in heaven. :) Just be good to people - that is what really counts. Hate should have nothing to do with religion. So don't' worry!

Prayers That God Hears
Many People find oit hard to pray, "I'm having trouble praying to someone I can't see," confessed a young woman. Since no human has seen God, we need faith in order to prayand to be heard by God. We need to believe that God really exists and that he can do what we ask.(Hebrews11:6) If we have that kind of faith, and we approach God with sincere heart, we can be sure that he will help us.(Mark 9:23) Thus, eventhough the Roman officer Cornelius was not at the time part of God's organization, when he sincerely prayed for guidance, God answered his prayer.(Acts10:30-33
Some people have a hard time expressing themselves in words, However, this should not keep them from speaking to God in prayer. We can be sure that he knows our needs and will understand what we want to say.(Mathew6:8) Think about it. Which expression do you most appreciate from a child - his simple, sincere, thanks or the special words someone told him to say/ Our Father in heaven likewise appreciates simple, sincere expressions from us.(James4:6 Luke18:9-14) No special words or religious language needed. He will not even listen to others , or who say the same things over and overagain in an insincere way. (Mathew6:5,7)
Even when you pray silently God can hear. When Nehemiah did God acted upon his sincere request, and likewise with Hannah.(Nehemiah2:4-8, 1Samuel1"11-13,19,20) Nor is a is a person's physical position, at any time when praying the important thing. You can pray while in any position at any time and at any place. However, the Bible shows that a position of humilitysuch as bowing the head or kneeling is apropriate.(1Kings 8:54 Nehemiah8:6, Daniel6:10, Mark11:25, John11:41)And Jesus indicated that it is good when personal prayers can be said in a place of privacy, unseen to men.(Mathew6:6 Prayer is part of our Worship. For this reason our prayers should be adressed only to our Creator Jehovah God, not to anyone else.(Mathew4:10) And the Bible shows that Christians must aproach God through, Jesus, who gave is life to take away our simns. This means we should say our prayers in the name of Jesus. (John14:6,14:16:23:Ephesians5:20:1John2:1,2)However, are all prayers pleasing to Jehovah God?The Bible says:":He that is turning his ear away from hearing the law even his prayer is something detestable."(Proverbs28:9:15:29;Isaiah1:15) Therefore if we wamnt God to hear our prayers, a basic requirement is that we do his will, that we obeyhis laws. Otherwise God will not listen to us, just as an upright person would not listen to a radio program that he considers imoral. This means that we must work at what we prayfor. For example, it would be wrong for a person to ask God for his help to stop using tobacco or marijuana and then go out and buy these things. Nor could heask Jehovah to help him to avoid imorality and then read literature and watch movies and television programs that feature imorality. Or if gambling is a person's weakness, he could not prayfor God to help him stop and then visit racetracks or other such places where gambling is carried on. For our prayers to be heard by God we need to show him by our actions that we really mean what we say.

God doesn't exist and homosexuality is just homosexuality, it's not right and it's not wrong because it is not a moral issue or choice, our sexual nature is largely given.

Sexuality is not a choice even if some religious folk insist that it is against the more informed advice of the medical and psychiatric professions who say that our sexuality is inherent and becomes fixed in early infancy & certainly well before puberty.

As much as some people think that nothing's wrong with it, as a Christian and under God's word it's wrong........ God didn't make creation of man to be that way........Just imagine that about 50% of the world's population was homosexual and what could possibly occur! There's just some things we can't do in life and we all have to face that.

There is nothing wrong with homosexuality - you are using reason, religion uses dogma.
Personally I'm with Tom on the whole God not answering your prayers thing, but I would hope that your god would help everyone, irregardless.

God's timetable is not ours. He may take years to answer a prayer, while certain events come into view.
Genesis 19:5. The footnote in my Bible says 'God's attitude toward the sin of homosexuality is seen in the destruction of Sodom .' Lot's wife was turned into a pillar of salt.
Maybe God wants our thinking to be in alignment with his.
