Pay special attention to your shoulders, hips and lower back--the heaviest parts. If there's too little support, you can develop back pain. But if the mattress is too rigid for you, you can experience uncomfortable pressure.
A word about "firm." Don't rely on product labels to tell you which mattress will give you the right support. One manufacturer's "firm" may feel harder than another's "extra firm." The only way to find out if the support is right is to lie down and try.

its has been proven that most people sleep on their right hand side
it allows the heart to beat slower whilst sleeping by reducing the pressure on it,
personally i think the best position is on top but hey who cares as long as your happy x

I work at a sleep lab in Dallas. Your stomach and sides are best to sleep on. When you sleep on your back, there is nothing to support your throat and it can close up or become partially obstructed. This can cause snoring, or sleep apnea.

Medicos do not prescribe any posture for sleeping.Yoga teachers advise "shavasana" the "corpse posture".After all a totally relaxed person sleeps like a dead body.

I dont know about gernally but if you are pregnate they will tell you that the best position to sleep is on your left side.

I have heard from a highschool psych teacher that on your stonach was the healthiest position.
I have no idea why or what it helps.

stright on ur back, u can use chinese or japan style hard floor, use special pillow that hold on u neck, not head.the whole body should be flat, include head.

lie down flat and straight (face up), on flat mattress, no pillow.
backbone, hands and legs straight.
99.9% relax, no muscle tension.
try to do this once, and notice when you wake up. freshhh...
