They taste like something. But it certainly isn't peach!

It's not fresh, lots of other things are added to it which makes it taste different instead of peachy.

I think that, first, the peaches are cooked, which changes the flavour and, second, they are a different variety from the pinky white fleshed ones you buy to eat fresh.

I don't think the tin has any effect unless you open it and store the fruit in the tin. You should always decant the contents of an open tin, anyway!

canned peaches are processed peaches where they are being treated after being peeled... they will naturally lose some of their taste when they are being heated up to kill germs before being canned.... the addition of syrup will also make it taste different from a fresh one...

They don't taste like peaches because they're stored in sugar, which changes their texture and flavor. I also find they become tinny. I mean canned pears taste kind of like pears, and grapes taste like grapes, and pineapple tastes like pineapple. But peaches just taste funny when they're canned.

it is peach but actually cause it is soaked in sugar syrup and processed and refined it loses it natural taste and gets another taste!

it;s bcos the freshness of the peach is lost due to the high pressure i guess.

Why would you expect them to? Does any fruit retain its original flavour after being tinned?
