Believe it or not, exercising increases your motivation to stick with a diet. Lots of women binge eat or overeat due to stress or emotions (or hormones) and exercise short circuits this response more successfully than pills and other mediums.

If you want to stick to a diet, start exercising regularly - at least 3 times a week for an hour each time - and make 20 minutes of each workout weight training. Even better, add one session of yoga a week to your exercise regime and this will help enormously (the calming effect of yoga enables women (in particular) to control their weight more effectively).

When you want to eat, eat something like a carrot or some other fruit/vegetable that you really like.
Avoid anything with more than 5% fat.
drink diet drinks instead of the full sugar ones, they normally taste the same anyway.
Tell people that way they're less likely to offer you something that will wreck your diet and can support you.
Join a dieting club/organisation they can really help.

Try finding some pictures of you, usually the ones that made you think, who is that fat bas'trd, 'no way thats me!'. Its about reminding you of the motivation to start the diet and setting realistic expectations, short time rewards, I found once i started losing weight it became much easier to motivate myself, though some time down the line I lost it and gained most of the weight back. But I know i can lose it again when i get round to it!

Slimming World! It's not a diet its a plan for life and no food is banned! It works on the basis of free foods and no weighing, counting, measuring and no fuss! It really is fantastic and as far as I'm concerned knocks the socks of all other classes out there! However, if one of the others is the one for you then go for it!!!!!!!! Allow yourself a little bit of what you fancy and you won't binge - Slimming World allows this - check it out sometime! x

eat things that make you feel full, eat little and often so you blood sugar doesn't drop too low and you don't crave sugary food.

High protein foods, meats and lot sof fruit and veg are the best. Plenty of water is also essential.

Don't deny yourself any thing, just eat in moderation. Stick "fat" pictures of you on your fridge and food cupboards, this will stop you snacking!
But no takeaways! they are addictive and make you crave salt!
