Because the dog kibble is better formulated. You still see it in yards where the dogs are fed a poor quality kibble.

Dog food used to contain a lot of bone- a dog's body didn't need that much calcium so it passed through them, as the poo dried it turned white. There have been more regulations about dog food now it contains less bone so there's less white poo! Along with the fact that more people pick up their dogs poo these days. Hope that clears it up for you!

This is true! I never thought about it til seeing your question. I remember we didn't worry about stepping in white dog poo, but if it were still dark colored, it was a sure way to end a day badly. I wonder if the answerers are right about the diet. That must be it.

Because most dogs are fed a commercial diet you only get white poo from barf fed or completely raw meat and bone diet

WHY are you looking for it? It is just old dog droppings! Walk somewhere else. I am sure you will stumble upon some at some point.

you do ours has about 10% in this category always in our garden so I'm sure of this I think its the actual vitamin biscuits we feed as a titbit now and again that cause it.
