First off...posture can mean a lot when someone is choosing a target...stand tall and sure...don't look like a victim. If your stance is aggressive and not weak a person will think twice. Also, try to always have one hand free...don't have your hands full of stuff as you make your way to your car and don't be distracted by cell phone or digging in your purse as you are making your way to your car. You should know by this point in your life what the vital areas are...groin and eyes are especially tender...go for either of these and you will at least slow them down if they come at you. Remember: We were born the smaller of the spieces...we don't have to play fair.

run away from him is the first and foremost principle (if possible!)

otherwise, important incapacitating actions from head to foot (but not in order of efficacy and certainly not all) are as follows:-

1. gouging the eyes
2. punch by heel of the hand at the bridge of assailant's nose
3. ripping the nares
4. Adam's apple chop
5. Solar plexus punch
6. Kidney punch
7. knee in the groin
8. hard kicking the assailant's knee joint
9. scraping the assailant's shin by your shoe
10. stomping on the assailant's foot by the heel of your shoe (pressure exerted by averagely weighing lady's pencil point heel is >02 ton psi)

Kick, scream, scratch, do whatever you can to get away. Good points to go for are kicking or hitting in the balls, gouging (sorry, cant spell!) his eyes, hitting or punching in the throat. Also, pinching on the inner thighs - when i say pinching, i mean grabbing a handful of flesh - really really hurts. Just do anything you can to get away and alarm other people - make plenty of noise.

I've always thought it was to kick a guy in the groin but I was talking to someone who works in a local prison and he said that the inmates actually practice doing that to each other so it loses its effectiveness! He suggests kicking the guy in the knee has hard as possible which will knock them down and run away as fast as possible. Depending how much force you use it can disable them.

BITE his nose!

I'm assuming he's got you in a bad postion and is too close to you.

If you feel you're being followed and he's getting close. You can see them in cars you pass or store windows if you want to make sure... Turn around fast YELL (it's up to you what to say "No" is good enough) in his face than RUN. he'll be shocked enough to give you a little more time to run. Have your keys out put them between your fingers, incase you need to claw him with them with out hurting yourself..

I heard too that kicking in the nuts can give them more energy and anger to attack. But kicking him may be better for you than using your arms to reach him.

Put your thumb between your 2nd and 3rd finger and pock him in the eye with your thumbs if you have too. When i learned it in self defenese class I though do I really want to take away someones sight? But if it's you or them yes.

It depends were you are as to if you need to hide or duck in somewhere. If he can see you I won't go directly to your house or apartment until you are out of his sight you don't want them to know where you live.

Put up a fight. Attackers are likely to give up if it seems like a tough victim. Put your fingers in his eyes, hit the side of his head with your elbow, bite him or pinch tightly under his arm near his armpit. These are all sensitive spots.

It depends how he is attacking you, sometimes you may not be able to react. But I'd say go for the most sensitive part - his groin.

Another tip, if you're walking home alone, stick your keys between your fingers so you can use that to anyone who sneaks up on you.
