If I am gay I have 3 choices
1. There is a god but he hates me
2. There is a god and he doesn't care
3. There is no god.

Now I have no choice in the matter. I am gay. I didn't chose to be gay but I am so don't bother making that argument. Anyways, I chose 3 because I can't reconcile there being a god and him hating me. So my question (for the religous) is how can I believe in a god that hates me and wants me to be lonely and without love for the rest of my life? Don't say that god will love me or that I have to repent. And since I really didn't chose to be gay I have no choice but to believe that god created me to lead a miserable life. Because according to him he hates me but I was born this way so logically he created me to sin and be bad. OR I have to live a life without finding love or being happy with a another person. Please explain?

Tell me to repent and you get ignored. I won't even bother reading your answer if I see that word. So don't bother answering if you feel the need to tell me that.

Well joetenor_1066 you are wrong. I'm sorry you believe that every gay person in the world is lying. If I had a choice in the matter why in the world would I choose to make my life harder then it is?

How 'bout this choice:

There's a God.

He loves you.

He doesn't love/like what you do.

He wants you to change your ways.

He gave you Jesus. you can accept his forgiveness.

We're all sinners, but we're all children of God. We can still say sorry and do what is right.

It is my opinion that you do not really want an answer at all and your mind is already made up on this matter. The first thing you need to do is find evidence that there IS a God. The evidence is all around you. There is obvious design in all of nature. If you seriously study the Bible from cover to cover and even take the time to learn how we got the Bible and study "Christian Evidences" , you will also become convinced that the Bible is the ONLY word of God and is without error. Until you get to that point, there is no use in me trying to convince you of anything. According to the Bible, homosexuality IS a choice and it IS a sin. God hates no human and wants all to live for Him out of our love for Him. He hates sin (which is breaking a command of God), but loves sinners. The Bible says that he gives homosexuals up to a depraved mind. This means that the homosexual is consumed by this "unnatural" desire. If it were natural for anyone to be homosexual, then a person could reproduce in that sexual act. It is like saying that a pedophile is born one and it is natural for them to only be attracted to very young children. No one will dare claim pedophiles are born that way and do not choose to be...why not? I really wish that I could help you, but unless you first see that there is definitely a God and then that the Bible is the true word of God, you will not be convinced of the truth about homosexuality. I pray that one day you will at least make an effort to study.

4. There is a God, he loves you, and the only thing your guilty of is a sin, just like all the rest of us.

Look, we ALL sin, everyone of us, even the "best " Christians sin behind close doors. God does not like the sin, but he loves the sinner. You dont have to repent if you dont feel wrong about it. You can live your life anyway you choose, fall in love, have it all.

For example, by biblical terms I am an adulterous, and always will be (divorced, living with finace) NOTHING can change it. I can repent, but that means I have to give up my finace until marriage. I dont want to, and I dont believe God wants me to be unhappy. Maybe he hates what Im doing, but thats between him and me. And if I am judged for it when I die, Im prepared for that.

NO sin is greater than another. Homosexuality is just as much a sin as lying. IF any Christian tells you God hates you, he has not read the Bible, or followed Jesus' teachings. Dont listen to them, they are hate-mongers, according to the Bible, and that makes them sinners too! Tell them THAT next time they say anything mean!

Keep smiling.

You was not born that way God don't make mistakes like that; this is a life you want to live. God don't hate you he hates your sins and excuses. For it is not God's will that any should perish, but that all come to repentance and have everlasting life. So He never created any to sin and be bad. But if you are looking for someone to lie to you and tell you something different you have to read until you find it.

First of all, it's the religion that condemns homosexual relations...not God himself. No matter what the Church says, no human alive (that I know of) can say with any truth whether or not God hates homosexuals.

The Lord has a very personal relationship with each person. You need to look within yourself and decide whether or not YOU believe God hates you. The Church cannot speak for the individual; your relationship with God is between the Lord and you.

Finally, you should also remember that there are hundreds of religions out there. Not all of them hate gays.

------------------------------

And my opinion is, if there is a God who creates and then condemns gays, then he isn't worth believing in. You should believe in the kind, the merciful, and the just. Not the manipulative.

Option three makes the most sense. People have and will still use religion as an excuse to hinder and violate the rights of people who are different from those that follow religion. It seems that MOST who are religious view those that are gay, lesbian, transgender and Atheists as a threat and feel that since they do not follow the path of god, they should be punished.

It is really sad to hear religious leaders say love your neighbor but then they are quick to turn around and yell at non-believers, gays, lesbians and transgender that they are going to hell.

It really comes down to hypocrisy by MOST who are religious

I believe in God but I think some of this kind of stuff is a little overrated. In my opninon a loving God truely accepts everyone for who they are no matter what race, sex, religion, etc etc. I don't care how the Bible phreases things. The Bible has been written and rewritten so many times that so many ppl could have really screwed it up!! Just believe what you want and stay true to yourself!! :) !!!

With all the human suffering he inflicted on the world, if this almighty wizard and magician is so uncaring and unconcerned that he allows people to starve, suffer prolonged agony far worse than anything his magician son (allegedly) suffered, wage war on each other, and other forms of inhumanity, and then claims sexual activities of any kind will lead to eternal punishment, he is one sick puppy.

And, undeserving of respect, worship or acknowledgment as a God.

The simple answer is that God does not exist, so it really doesn't matter.

I am not religious. But I do believe in God. I don't understand why he feels this way. I want to read the bible myself, and try and figure out why. I don't think God hates you. He doesn't hate anybody. But what I don't understand is how he doesn't accept people loving whoever they love, regardless of their preference. This confuses me so. I hope you find a solution :-(

Have you ever noticed that Jesus never called anyone a sinner? He called people children of God. It is the "religious" who label who is good and who is evil. Jesus had strong words for people who judged others. Seek God and be found. God created as you are and loves you.

There is nothing wrong with you, go out and find love. Also go to this website
www. godmademegay.com. The guy has a very good argument to support you. Whatever you decide, there is support out there. Not all religous people are anti-gay.
