understand a bit of english, but somehow managed to work the drive thru window all the time. You order one thing and he/she repeats another, you tell them "no" and repeat the order again only to pull up to the window, pick up your order, you get half way out of the drive thru and realized that your #7 is a freakin #11.

i do emphasize with you, but it is not just Mexican people at those drive thrus, i have had Americans who don't LISTEN to what is said, i am an American, and i have several times went to a drive thru who has someone with bad hearing, i have had other nationalities there too.

it just like the bill collectors who call from India, they try to speak English fast, but their accent is to strong and it is hard to understand them and they get mad when you try to explain to them you don't understand what they said, you ask if you could speak to someone else who don't have as strong as accent. again they get mad.

if they are going to talk to Americans who don't speak other languages, try talking English a lot slower so they can understand what is said.

i have taught many people in a classroom situation and i have had to explain slower then i would to an American, i have had to teach, Spanish, Arabic, Asian, Germans, and Americans with learning disabilities in the same classroom. it is not an easy job, but i did get my point across and they did pass their tests.

I am now bilinqual in restaurant language.

If you want #7, order Numero Siete (see-eh-tee). Eleven in Numero Once (on-see) Please is por favor and Thank You is Gracias.

There are also taxi drivers who speak languages I never even heard - Farci, Arabic, Nigerian, Romanian, Croatian, etc. Man, it's a hard world in the melting pot of civilization.

Try going inside the restaurant instead of driving through. Maybe you'll have better luck.

Why are all those who've a spanish speaking accent presumed to be Mexican? i do not comprehend why they permit those who won't be able to communicate english cope with thecontinual-through. Ask the eating position manager. yet ask the question precise. the fellow at thecontinual by would properly be Mexican, or Puerto Rican, or cuban, or guatemalan etc.

In today's world where thousands of children are dying of starvation every day, AIDS is still spreading throughout Africa and the United States is fighting unjust wars throughout the world, it's good to know that you have found a productive and proactive focus for your hate.

I often go through the drive-thru at Wendy's, and the person who takes my order there is often a Spanish-speaker, but they don't usually make mistakes.
