I went fishing today, when I got home I found a tick on me. I am not for sure if it was embedded or not. I think I got the tick's head but I am not sure. What happens if the ticks head is still in and can you see the head still if it breaks off? Worried about lyme disease and so forth.

You need to go have a doctor check asap. Even if there's only a slight chance the head of the tick can still contain poison. Maybe not enough to cause any serious problems, but it could still make you sick. Bottom line...go to the doc

It can get infected (ticks don't contain poison, but having a peice of dead insect/arachnid stuck inside one is not nice) best to go to the doctor and have it removed. The nurse can do it for you.

Lyme disease isn't a definate but it's a possibility - again, something the Dr can do something about.
