There are certain churches and groups that you can approach to ask for a free copy of the Bible such as Gideon's International; Salvation Army; military chaplains; JW's; other church groups...

the funny answer would be to say that you can steal one from any motel room but then ou violated one of the commandments to do so and having the bible would be a moot point. the serious answer that i have knowledge of is that the Church of Latter Day Saints (mormons) give out bibles for free.

yup...just search google for "free bible" You can get the book of mormon (and a video) for free too.

An online copy of the bible, koran, and torah are available at:

http://www.skepticsannotatedbible.com

but that's probably not the type of copy you were looking for.

This is what i hate,,, see how many of you have responded for giving a free copy of a bible.. if somebody would have asked you for a dollar, i dont think so many of you would have responded,, you would go to god(heven) if you do kind deeds.

Seeing as the Gideons are kind enough to place bibles in hotel rooms, hospitals and distribute them throughout schools, I'd start with them!

Join the army. The chaplans are nice enough to have them out on display around their offices. And sometimes other places. Or I guess you could visit a church, or army base. But that's taking the easy way out.
