This quote
Matthew 26:39 - (NLT)
Jesus went on a little farther and fell face down on the ground, praying, "My Father! If it is possible, let this cup of suffering be taken away from me. Yet I want your will, not mine."

If Jesus and God are the same people then who the heck was he speaking too? He said "I want YOUR will, not MINE". Doesn't that mean there to seperate people? How can the same person have differant wants? And if your the same person why say father? Why not just say "ME!! If it is possible, let this cup of suffering be taken away from me"?

For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one...

1 John 5:8
And there are three that bear witness in earth the spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.

Sure He's God and the Son of God... Then explain this...

"And when he would have put him to death, he feared the multitude, because they counted him as a prophet." Matthew 14:5 (compare with Matthew 21:26)

"And the multitude said, This is Jesus the prophet of Nazareth of Galilee." Matthew 21:11

"But when they sought to lay hands on him, they feared the multitude, because they took him for a prophet." Matthew 21:46

"And he said unto them, What things? And they said unto him, Concerning Jesus of Nazareth, which was a prophet mighty in deed and word before God and all the people:" Luke 24:19

"The woman sayest unto him, Sir, I perceive that thou art a prophet." John 4:19

"Then those men, when they had seen the miracle that Jesus did, said, This is of a truth that prophet that should come into the world." John 6:14

"Many of the people therefore, when they heard this saying, said, Of a truth this is the Prophet." John 7:40

"And there came a fear on all: and they glorified God, saying, That a great prophet is risen up among us; and, That God hath visited his people." Luke 7:16

"They say unto the blind man again, What sayest thou of him, that he hath opened thine eyes? He said, He is a prophet." John 9:17

Indeed, how did Jesus himself describe himself? Let us read:

"Nevertheless I (Jesus) must walk to day, and to morrow, and the [day] following: for it cannot be that a prophet perish out of Jerusalem." Luke 13:33

And they were offended in him. But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, save in his own country, and in his own house. Matthew 13:57, Mark 6:4, Luke 4:24, John 4:43

the Trinity as my pastor described to me. was god is like an apple an apple has 3 parts to it the peel meat and the core. all three separate things but when put together they make an apple. god is the same way while Jesus was on earth god the father was still in heaven looking over him.now u say how can this be i know i was there before but u have to look at it not as a human would that where most of of us mess up but if u look at it the human is made up as 3 parts it self the body soul and mind

You can explain and explain but the interaction of Jesus the Son and God the Father is so awesome people just have a hard time beleiving it. So they come up with everything but the truth to deny it. God the father is a spirit powerful and magnificent, Jesus the son the flesh had no power until God the father came into the body of Jesus.

John 5:17;
Then answer Jesus unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The son can do hothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do. For what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise. But the fleshly body just as our fleshly body didn't want to taste death; it was the will of God for him to die, so Jesus willed himself to die to be obedient to His father. In His prayer he's asking for this cup to pass him because the flesh wasn't willing. But all Jesus cared about was doing the will of God to save the world. God create himself a body to use here on earth and that body was His Son Jesus.

I have an alternate but a plausible explanation to your question. GOD as we define Him, is the the ultimate supreme being. He is the creator of the universe, and all that resides within. Hence to a person with a logical way of reasoning, it should be pretty clear, that GOD himself must be very different from his creations. He obviously would not have our weaknesses, and would not be dependent on any one. There obviously would not be anything common between humans and GOD. Then to say that he has a son, or he needed to sacrifice his son for our sins, or that GOD is in three form would be really funny. I mean, He is GOD right, why then he must have a son. And if He does, He obviously doesn't need to sacrifice him for our salvation. I mean He is after all GOD!!!.

Hence the logical explanation is that, to guide mankind, GOD sent messengers, and to explain His Law to humanity. But for our vested interests we started worshiping those messagers, i.e prophets as gods. It sounds better that way doesn't it when we say that GOD sacrificed his son so that all of us would go to heaven. But trust me, its not that simple. Its only what we want to believe. We all will be accountable for our individual sins, and also accountable for associating human traits with our Lord as in that he has a son etc. Hope that answers the question.

Think of the trinity like an egg. An egg has three seperate parts, and each one is a part of a whole.

The shell that incases is all is God, the white is the Holy Spirit, and the Yold is Jesus. (I know this is a silly analogy, but the best I can think of) Each "part" is 1/3 of the whole. When Jesus was here, he was the "human" part of God, seperate from him, seperate in his purpose, yet part of the whole.

I hope that makes sense. :)

Where did you get the idea Jesus is god? The dirty Catholics? According to the bible Jesus is the son of god. The first born. Then together they created Gabrielle the arch angel and so on....
That's the idea of the Trinity which is caused by people who don't actually read the bible and instead just repeat what someone else told them without checking. Good job checking!

Have you not read, In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. Who do you think is being spoken of here. Its Jesus Christ the Word of God.

When Jesus went to the garden to pray the night He was betrayed. He spoke to the Father and asked if there were any other way that He would not have to pour out the Wrath of God on the unbelievers and evil doers at the time of His second coming.

He added, not My will be done but yours. Jesus said this for you and me not for Himself or the Father.

When you sit down to pray tonight try this approach. Ask Our Heavenly Father in the name of His Son Jesus Christ to open your eyes and your ears to His Word, and if you are truly repetitive and honest with Him He will do it for it written in the Word and so shall it be.

good question.... western religions want to say that God and His Son are one entity,,, which is normally based on a passage in the old testament that states... " and the Word (Jesus) was with God, and the Word was God"
my belief is the actual translation should say " and the Word was with God, and the Word was A God" ... it is really quite apparent that there are two entities.. God the Father and God the Son.. in the OT in Genesis and the story of the tower of Babel, God says, let US go see... God is clearly in charge.. but His Son has been given power over all things ...
