I have believed in God and Jesus but I fear that I have run into doubt. Is this normal to have a certain degree of doubt about the Bible and if there really is a God? I mean if you read the Bible it says people who actually seen Jesus didn't believe until he proved it. How are people today supposed to 100% believe without a doubt that God is real?

You either have faith or you don't.

It's just that simple and only you can decide the issue.

God IS real.

Everything in our existence didn't just happen, it was created. I'm not talking about manufactured stuff, I mean life. The plants, animals and people. We are far too complex to have just evolved. Some say Man evolved from Apes. If so, why are there still Apes? How come there aren't half man-half monkeys around. Dinosaurs were around for millions of years, they didn't evolve did they? Into what?

God created the world and put us in it.
Then he gave us 10 simple rules and a promise for an afterlife. All we have to do is believe and follow.
It's called FAITH.
If there was no GOD, humans would have no real reason to behave and civilization would have never happened.

I used your question to hit my 1000 point mark.
It's an important question.
You matter, God matters.
Read a Bible. Start with Genesis, the beginning.
Then read the chapters from John, Luke Mark and Paul, (the Gospel chapters).
You will be amazed at what's there.
I'm not a religous fanatic, and I rarely go to church. But I do, and I always have, believed that God is there and that if needed, I can count on Him to get me through any problem in this screwed up world, even if I do get busted up a bit.

In a movie that Charles Bronson made, just before shooting this murderous gang-banger, he asked, "Do you believed in Jesus?"
The punk said, "Yes".
Bronson said, "Good, your gonna meet Him".

We'll all get that chance.
Do you want to say, "Oh, you are real".
Too late!

Go to a church.
Any church.
If you can't handle the "Fire and Brimstone" types, choose something a little more calm.

Sit and listen.

Hear what is being said about God and Jesus.

Have FAITH.

Believe.

1 John 5:7
For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one...

1 John 5:8
And there are three that bear witness in earth the spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.

Yes it is normal to have doubts, at some point. But faith is like a seed that can grow into a big strong tree and the more it grows the stronger the testimony until you have no doubt at all of the lord.

The only God worth believing in is one that trusts you to use your mind and be creative and curious.

Would you really want to believe in a God that demands you obey strict disciplinary obedience under his reign? Many people who think of God as a fluid, loving and forgiving entity are much happier and firmer in their belief - they just don't feel the need to shout it from the rooftops or make others obey them.

I hope you find the answers that work best for you.

I have been in a very similar "spiritual doubting" myself. www.beliefnet.com has lots of good info, spiritual quizzes to help you get answers to questions, and just all around great articles representing many faiths. You are not wrong for having doubts, it is a GOOD thing to not blindly follow. Always question- all the best to you.

Firstly, i'd like to thank you for giving me the opportunity to answer this question.

Undoubtly, your doubt comes with the doubt of believing Jesus as God Himself.

Ask Anyone to try to explain the trinity, they will not be able to give you a suitable answer.

that is because the answer lays in Islam.

Islam Believes that Jesus, like the other prophets came with the same message of Worshiping the Creator alone. If you look in a red lettered bible (which highlights everything that Jesus PBUH is said to have said) never once did he tell people to worship him. on the contrary, he said to "Worship thy father alone" i.e. Worship God Alone.

If you look at nature for instance, and you look at the most intricate aspects of it, those alone are signs that God exists, because who else could have created them, and fashioned them so perfectly to do their job, than He?

for example, look at how everyone has a finger print. every finger print on the face of this earth is different, from the time of Adam until now. surely, that is a sign of the existance of God.

Secondly, with reguards to Islam.

If you believe
1. that there is no object worthy of worship but Allah (God)
2. you believe in the angles
3. Heaven and hell
4. The Books that came before (the Old testament, Gospels, Quran)
5. you believe in the all the Prophets of God starting from Adam, including Moses, Jesus, Abraham, Noah, and Muhammad peace be upon all of them)
and finally
6. Divine decree.

than welcome to Islam.

Finally, if you do not wish to listen to anything i've said, at least do one thing which you have nothing to lose.

Seek guidance from God himself to guide you on the strait path, and see where it leads you.

I Swear by Allah, that if you Sincerely and whole-heartedly ask Him for Guidance to the truth. He will lead you to it.

you have nothing you lose.

I ask God to guide you all to the truth. ameen.
