Healthy is subjective.

Can a girl be dating online and still be considered healthy?
Yes.

Would dating online make someone more healthy?
It depends...

If connectivity in normal "people to people" situations is seemingly impossible, it is DEFINATELY healthy to find a different way to connect to the world.

There is no set prescribed way for individuals to communicate and bond with one another.

If internet communication is the way that individual is capable of such a bond, then there is no reason why this avenue is not perfectly healthy.

Now... the healthiness of a 14-16 year old girl dating AT ALL is much more debatable.

It's not healthy for anyone to date exclusively online. Once you meet a potential partner on the Internet, you should meet in person in a public place as soon as possible, to make sure that you're both being honest about looks, age, gender (!), interests, job, etc. Real relationships happen in the real world- online dating should just be a way to make the initial connection, not a way to sustain a relationship.

No, why would you want to meet someone online? If you feel you need to date, you're around plenty of people your own age often enough to meet someone who could be a potential person to date. My best suggestion: don't be in a rush to date! If you find someone you like, great. If you don't, don't worry, there's a lot more to life. Someone will come along eventually.

Absolutely no. As a matter of fact, dating online is quite dangerous. You just do not know the other person. The best bet to find the opposite sex is to join a club in your community (sports, religions, social services, etc.)

The answer is a firm no. Wait a couple more years and you'll find yourself in a relationship, and a real one. And most definitely, a healthier one as you'll be talking to the guy in person (as oppose to chatting to someone on the 'net who could be playing with your head all along).

I don't think any girl of any age needs to date on line. It's to dangerous these days . Don't you watch" DATE LINE'' on T.V.?They've been trapping child molesters and men that say their in their teens but are really in their 30's and even 60's.
