I have to get spacers. My older sister who has braces has had them before, and told me they hurt like crap!
Do they? I get them tomorrow morning at 11 AM.

Yes, they hurt, but they are just the first of many things about having braces that will hurt, so get used to it. Try taking some tylenol before you go to the ortho. Other than that, there's not much you can do about it.

They will make your gums soft for about 5-7 days after they put them on and each time you go back to get new tensions. You will be in the most pain the next day and the day after that. But you'll be ok, and it's not as bad as losing baby teeth or getting wisdom teeth pulled. Don't worry, the pain will come gradually and you'll get used to it. It will only hurt if you touch your teeth. After the second time, you'll be used to it enough to be able to stand it.
I had braces twice!

You are going to be sore!!! Eat as much hard candy and crunchy stuff as you can right now because tomorrow you won't be able to.

itz not THAT bad but it will kinda make em sore so take an ibuprophen after you leave there if your mom thinks thats ok

they dont hurt, theyre just really irritating. they kinda hurt i guess it just depends on how crooked or cramped your mouth is. you will only have to wear them for a week or two, it will be okay.
