I am a stepmom and now we have two little ones of our own, things get really stressed with how my husband raised his first two children and how we are raising our two. Is there a happy solution?

I was a step child,but my step dad treated my brother and I as if we were his very own children.I have more respect for that man than anyone else I have ever known!I think we were very lucky and blessed that a man came into our lives and loved us so much.He wanted grandchildren so much.but unfortunately the first grandson(my first born) arrived within the year after his death.He is sadly missed!

I had one and then two more after i got Married(different mom) and the oldest decided not to come over any more because he didn't like the rules I thought I could do better myself too but sometimes it is also how the kids perceive things and that can also make it difficult

Been there and I know from experience that you and your husband both has got to agree on how to raise the kids, sit down and talk and discuss the pro's and con's of house rules and punishments. Remember a house divided will fall. I know mine did.

No I guess there is no easy way to rise the kids. I am having problems of my own with my two step kids. I am starting to think that I am not a good father figure. Anyway good luck to you and your husband...

My step mom was really mean and it was not fun growing up with her. My brother lived with my dad for 3 years and he stayed in his room until he graduated. It was so sad. Now that we are older its not so bad. So just give a lot of love and be nice. It will all come together for you.
