A Chi Flat Iron works really well. They are a bit expensive but they are definitely worth the price. I don't know how long it takes you to straighten you hair now but w/ a Chi Iron it would probably take about half the time because you will only have to go over your hair once or twice to get it completely straight. The price range in the salon that I work at in Illinois is about $150-200.

This line is very elegant yet hip looking, and works great! All sorts of details are given attention to. The flat irons are sold in different widths, and some models are ever so slightly curved to cater to any person's particular needs. There is also a small inconspicuous dial from one to ten, which lets you choose the heat setting. You can buy them at beauty supply stores like Sally Beauty Supply; the price is a little more than the plain utilitarian one, but well worth it.

as far as everyone has said that the chi irons work the best.... true but it's not the only good one out there..... I personally own a blue.... i got it at the salon supply store, but my friend owns one that she paid like 50 dollars at JCPenny's salon and it works just like a chi... although it's not the name brand..... go w/ chi products like the keratin mist, a leave in treatment for the hair spray on before you dry your hair, and also try the chi serum it protects the cuticle from drying or burning your hair but that also depends on how long you leave the iron on your hair... best of luck finding a flat iron that suits you best

Beauty suppliers have a great selection. I like the Babyliss ceramic flat irons. If it has a dial for heat options that is best. I have super curly hair and it does the trick.

Without telling you to spend a fortune, go with a ceramic iron. They hold heat evenly and do not drag on the hair as you straighten..

GHD! Lots of people will suggest getting a CHI, but everyone I know who has tried both makes the switch to GHD. They have been popular in the UK for years and are just reaching the US market.

I would suggest a chi....they work the BEST!! I really dont know what I would do without mine!! Just be carefull to not burn yourself, I burned my ear today, lol! (it hurts, badly) You can buy them at Ulta or any other hair place. Most Beauty Salons have them. Also, they are fairly expensive.
