you're not being disrespectful. but this is a question you have to figure out for yourself. all you're going to get here are opinions and people pressuring you like your friends.
EDIT: p.s. always be wary of people using the bible to prove there is a god (see above). it's like trying to use the movie e.t. to prove aliens exist.

Your friends should never pressure you to believe anything, your beliefs are yours and yours alone. I don't think there is a god but, you must decide that for yourself, don't let anyone force their beliefs onto you. There are a lot more Christians than non-Christians here, don't let the majority decide your beliefs for you. Also, in response to an above answer, you can type "god" with a lowercase g, there's nothing wrong with that.
I see there are believers requesting that you read their testimony. If you do that, I suggest you also take a look at the other side of the fence: Christians that are now ex-Christians. Their testimony can be read at: http://exchristian.net
Good luck searching for the truth!

You can't believe there is or isn't until you search. If the Lord is willing He will reveal Himself to you. Not usually by splitting the sky open though. it will be more subtle and will make you believe; but, not necessarily others. Your testimony of this will be believed by other true Christians. Provided it happens. it can only happen if He is willing. Tell your friends to give you a little space and let the Lord decide and that you need to do some searching for yourself, not just believe what they've told you.
If you're one of His lost sheep...the Good Shepherd is SURE to find you.
I'll pray for you, you've been very honest and decent in your question. May the Lord bless and keep you, if He's willing.
Read the Bible and pray for understanding, beware of wolves in sheeps clothing and "silly" "Christians".

Yes there is a God. It will be up to you to pursue him or not. Your friends know the love of God and only want to share it with you. Forcing anyone to believe anything will tend to have wrong results. It is a choice, but it is the best choice you can ever make. For anyone who doesnt believe they cannot comprehend the God's love and mercy found in Jesus. Accept him as your Lord and believe with all of your heart and you will see why all these Christians want everyone to convert. There is a reason behind it and its real.

Yes absolutely there is a God. His Name is Jesus Christ. Though some ppl call Him Jehovah, or Yahweh or YHWH or Holy Spirit. No one can "force" anyone to "believe" it is a personal relationship that God requires. That relationship between a believer & God is not for His (God's) benefit, but rather for ours. God gives us all kinds of information (not all religious artifacts..) There are many things that clearly testify to the existance of God (besides the Bible!) God wants you to come to know Him because He is the only way to salvation...& Heaven. Your friends know that the truth will set you free,,but they also know that if you do not find a relationship with Christ that you will end up in a place you DON'T want to be...by your OWN choice! (God never sends a person to hell..they decide to go there of their own free will) God has sent His beloved Son to pay the price for YOUR sins....but it is up to you to choose the free gift or not...at least check it out..you have Heaven to gain...or eternal separation from all that is awesome. The choice is in your hands & heart.

You mean, a creator? Yes, we're created. There has to be something bigger and better than us. A world without a creator is a world without creation. We have evolution, there has to be an evolver. Like the hands of a spinning wheel molding the clay. I used to be ignorant and just because I couldn't believe in the Christian, Islamic, or Jewish God, used to say there is none. After researching, I've concluded there has to be.

This is what I believe:
There is no god. It is a concept our ancestors created because they did not understand the world. Unfortunately, it is passed on from generation to generation.
We need to live without gods. We need to realize that there is nothing out there that is going to help us if we pray or worship it. It is up to us to make the world a better place for us, our loved ones and everyone.
Good luck and you are not disrespectful at all!

My suggestion. Read The Bible cover to cover. Don't read it as a moral guide, but simply as you would read any other book.
Read a book on ethics. Re-read the Bible. Ask yourself, would a loving God be so cruel and vicious?
Next, read a science book. 7th grade biology will do nicely. Re-read the Bible. Would an all-powerful God be that stupid?
Finally, read Mein Kampf, by Adolph Hitler. You will find it to be more like the Bible than the books on Ethics and Biology.
Make your own analysis, and decide whats right for you.

Of course there is...isn't.... God. God also being all the answers...and questions as well. Then we feed all these questions and answers...that is really God, into the mind, which is also composed of the same stuff..."God". The mind then thinks all these possibilities and makes the world as we see and experience it. So God, who is NOWHERE really is All of it. And here we are, children of God....Hey, what do Gods children grow up (or down), to be? Of course, they grow up to be ... God? "don't you know...you are Gods From psalms)
Love me :)

How exactly do you force someone to believe?
To answer your question, yes, there is a God. But you have to find that out on your own.
