there is no proof that the bible was written by words of god, it was just a complex fairy tale written by a bunch of old, jobless, drunken haggards.

The evidence is out there if you will do your homework. Lee Strobel of the Chicago Tribune has written two books on this subject.
The Case for the Creator and the Case for Christ.
There are 5366 outstanding archaeological documents outside of the Bible that give credence to the Bible. How many documents do you have to document that you exist?
Josh McDowell is a former atheist professor... he has written at least twenty books. "New Evidence that Demands a Verdict" is a good one.
It gets kind of old having to educate people on this over and over again. Just do your homework and try to be fair and impartial in these issues as the authors were when they searched the very answers that you seek.
Michael Behe is a self professed agnostic biophysicist. He wrote "Darwin's Black-box" which defies evolution.
Fred Heeren... a 20 year NASA chief scientist for COBE satellite systems wrote another one in astrophysics called "Show me God; what the message from space is telling us about God."
Come on people... wake up.

I believe that if people really put false books into the Bible God, would some how prevent is. Also Christians (true Christians) are filled with the holy spirit so the early church would know what to put in the bible. Also in revelation John states thier will be no more prophecy added to the works of God.(a.k.a. the Bible.)

that question about the bible will always be asked. It's been retold, rewritten, and translated so many times! Like Billy Joel said, "it all comes down to faith". I like to believe to not to believe in organized religion and just know that there is some higher power that has helped my butt out a few times. There has been more killing over religion than there ever will be over money or skin color. People keep worrying about the small details instead of just trying to love each other, which is what I hope the original message was.

Hummm...been watching the Davinci code one too many times huh?..Actually if you do the "homework" you will find that many of the statements that you just made are historically incorrect. Try a little research...here are a couple really great "starting places" http://www.equip.org or http://www.wayofthemaster.com or if you enjoy reading, Lee Stoble has a terrific book containing just the facts about Christ :The case for Christ or the Case for Faith. There are people that search for truth rather than what they want to believe or whatever makes themselves feel "good". The people that usually close their minds to all the clear & concise evidence are missing the issues that show beyond a doubt that there IS a GOD..& just WHO that GOD really is. May the Lord bless your way if you endevor to do a little "research"!

It is not incomplete, it is perfect. If you found a chapter of Stephen King's IT thrown into Dean Koontz' LIGHTNING you would not have to be a genius to remove it as a segment that belongs elsewhere. Once you dedicate yourself to the teachings of the bible, its themes, its tone, its use of poetry, prophesy, and language and know the basic themes that run throughout every page, you could spot these books you speak of as easily as the example I began with.

Sits back and reads...snickers...and you call yourselves christians, yet you make snooty remarks to others. I have read some comments in here that are quite rude...telling others to go back and read this or that as if you cal them stupid. You think for one minute that, that sort of attitude will get you into heaven? Jesus himself sat amongst sinners...he was not self righteous nor did he treat others as if he was better then them. I was raised as a christian but I d rather be a pagan then join some religion where they act like thier better then everyone else....their self righteous better then thou attitudes....no thanks, as long as christians continue to act foolish I have no room for christianity.Lead by example or don t lead at all!!!

Your rant is full of generalizations. component of the bible is history, section is prophecy, and section is approximately Jesus and His coaching. regulations that existed hundreds of years in the past do no longer unavoidably make experience to us now. you could save picking aside the bible. you're no longer the 1st and not the final. no person cares, and God isn't wringing his palms hoping you will convert to Christianity.

There is plenty of scripture refuting todays style of "organized" religion; but, even if the "other" texts had been included (assuming they are genuine and not apochrypha) people still wouldn't listen.
Here's one example
Heb 9:11 But Christ being come a high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building;
(Mat 6:5) And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.
(Mat 6:6) But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.
(Mat 6:7) But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.
(Mat 6:8) Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.
