I have tried panties a few times and she still continues to soil herself. I have tried pull ups and have had no luck with those either. As for the potty training toilet, she will sit on it and get up within 2-3 seconds. She likes to try to disassemble the toilet (mainly the bucket thing that holds the waste).Ok, what i am really looking for is maybe some good tips to help potty train her.

Starting early is good.

It sounds like she simply isn't ready yet. Kids learn potty training at different ages. Perhaps you should wait for a few more months and try again. Then when you do start, explain to her (in the simplest terms possible) what she should do when she sits on the potty. You may want to sprinkle some water between her legs so she associates the feeling of peeing with sitting on the potty. Hope that helps.

The harder you try to push potty training on her the harder she will try NOT to potty train. If she is reacting the way you say, she isnt ready for it yet. Wait a month or two and try again, if she still refuses, then wait another 1-2 months.

You could train a 20 month old, but it is hard. We waited for both our children for them to be about 2 and a half. My youngest right now is fully trained and it took about a week. When they are at an age when they can understand what you are telling them they should feel, it makes it really easy.

If you are in a bind for diaper cash, I guess just keep at it. We have friends that trained that early, but it really is a task. Eventually she will learn that she is the one that is soiling her underwear.

with my niece we gave her a jelly bean if she went on the potty. If she knows she is gonna get one she might try..its also good for her to see it done(pref by a women). With my nephew(2 years old) we make a big deal when he goes(clap, cheer..etc) but hes still at the phase of no. My mom said reading a book on the potty(if its about going on the potty its good, but any will do) is a great thing cause it gets them to sit still

Keep up with what your doing, let her "inspect" the potty, let her sit on it when you or the females in the house go and say "This is how big girls go pp." or whatever words you are using. Eventually she will let you know when she is ready, or try treats. My sister used m&ms, when her daughter went potty, she got two m&ms, her choice of color,of course. When she soiled herself she had to give one to everyone else.

For my daughter, I would take her in to the potty when it wasn't potty time and just let her sit on it. I would call it her special seat. She would sit on her special seat while mommy went potty or to read books. Then when she actually used it, we put stickers on it for a reward. My mom would buy her books if she did it for a few days in a row. Believe it or not, she will come around. :)

You cant train her until she is ready. 20 months may be too early for her. The average child usually does not start to train until after 2 year old.

twenty months could be a bit young . children are pretty easy to train if thier ready. sometimes they won't oblige because they like the attention they get when they won't do something that you like them to do. but, your the parent and you know your child best. One idea is you could get a cute calendar of things she likes and everytime she uses the pot she then gets to stick her favorite sticker on the day even if theres ten stickers on every day she's rewarded and also learning days of the week.

try to keep her distracted by entertaining her with something of her choice. try to make a note of the times she poops and at those times u can make an effort by keeping her on the pot. its hard work now as shes already 20 mths old but u have to be patient to yeild results

Both of my girls were ready at exactly 24 months. Don't push it, encourage her gradually. The time will be soon when she is ready and she will show you. That will be a proud day for you both!
