Wonderful! It's a beautiful thing to do. We did it, and several of our friends did too. Some of us actually re-married, complete with preacher et all, others had a backyard ceremony in which they made up their own vows and repeated them to each other in the company of friends. Still others retreated to a personal private place up in the mountains, near a lake, where they used to go for holidays. The venue is up to you, but the idea is lovely.

Generally, people renew the vows on their 10th anniversary. My brother & his wife did. He wore his Dress blues & she bought a white satin dress. It was a much smaller ceremony than their wedding. It was at Ft Bragg. The reception was at their house. We all cooked for 2 days before. I made a money tree out of a branch, tin foil & ribbon & had everyone tie bills in fan shapes on it. The smallest was $5 the largest was $100. They got enough for a 2nd honeymoon to Daytona, where they took their 1st honeymoon. They've been married 23 years now.

My husband and I have only been married for 3 years. We've been together for 10. We had a tiny wedding, so we're going to have a huge, renewal of vows. Big white dress, Horse carriage, we're letting butterflies loose instead of throwing rice. It's going to be HUGE! I can't wait.

My hubby and I are going to renew ours on our 10th.How about where you met or where you got married??Wherever or whatever you decide,make sure you both like it and enjoy yourself.Life is too short and the fact that you have made it 9 yrs needs to recognized.Congrats!!!

We renewed our wedding vows in a little white church in the poconos on our 11th anniversary. It was beautiful.

my parents went on a second honeymoon to aruba, and renewed their vows. and got divorced a year later.

Vegas baby!!!! Get married on the Starship Enterprise or by Elvis!! I plan to do something like that for my 10th.

Go to Disneyland or Disneyworld, they have excellent accommodations this works if you have kids and want them to be included.
