I know how far it is total(999.6 miles) and half way is(499.8) but I would like to know what city and state it would be in. I want to go from Kentucky to the halfway point between here and Minnesota. I don't know where to look or how to figure this out. Thank you for helping me.

The starting point is Radcliff Ky
The finishing point would be Ada Mn.
I want the half way point between them which is 499.8 miles but I don't know where that is. thanks

You will need a map and a compass (the kind you use in geometry class).

First, put the point down in the one city, and use the compass to make an arc. Do this ABOVE and BELOW each city so that you have four arcs. Now use a ruler to draw a straight line from where each arc intersects. The city nearest the line is the midpoint.

either milwaukee or chicago is about halfway

be more specific though with the starting and ending city. the answers above assume the middle of kentucky to the middle of minnesota. both are pretty big states so the halfway point could change drastically based on where you start/end.

If you have a paper map ( or maybe if you call up a map on the net) use a ruler to define the half way point. then use the nearest city on the map.

If it has to be a half way point that you can reach by car, then you need to map out the route, total the mileage, divide by 2, and then find the nearest town.

Yahoo Maps-Driving Directions, AAA Trip Planner or Mapquest maybe able to help you.
It all depends where in KY you are and where in MN you are going to.. I would have to guess that Chicago is the halfway point.
