Christianity and other religions are against human sacrifice to atone for our sins. We don't sacrifice a virgin on Christmas to get forgiveness. So why would an omnipotent being confuse all his would-be followers by incarnating himself in human form as his own son and then killing himself on a giant wooden cross. He could "think" the fact that we are forgiven and we would all instantly be forgiven. There are many less contradictory ways to send the message as well. And how is creating a son and sacrificing him a sacrifice for the father? And how is sacrificing yourself in human form, even though you are God and can't be destroyed a sacrifice? Seems a bit fishy too me. Christianity is nice because it promotes goodness (when not interpreted to authorize the mass killing of other religions, see Inquisition, Crusades, etc), but aren't we better off with other similar religions that don't involve such logical fallacies?

Firstly, Thank you for allowing me to respond to this Question.

secondly, with reguard to your Question. you may be asking because you are in doubt. which is completely normal.

because if you go to anyone and ask them to explain to you the trinity, they will not be able to give you an adequete answer.

Never once did Jesus (peace be upon him) claim to be God. If you look into the bible, if you have a red lettered one that highlights supposedly what Jesus has said, than never once will you find that he told his people to worship him. On the contrary, he said "Worship Thy Father Alone" i.e. worship God Alone.

Third of All, In Islam we believe in Jesus as a highly respected Prophet of Allah (God). just like Moses, Adam, Abraham, Noah, etc.

They All came with the same message : To worship the creator Alone.

Indeed, it is very blasphemous to say that Jesus Is God.
#1. Jesus was A human, and everyone will agree upon that. meaning he ate, slept, used the bathroom, etc. Things that Muslims Believe are not attributes fit for the Lord of the Universe, because he is free of all needs.

#2. The Christians believed that Jesus died on the Cross. How can God Die? if that were the case, than how can it be that he would be on the cross saying "Why have you forsaken me" to the one who is in heaven, if they were one in the same. and how is it that He knew he would die, but didnt know at the same time?

and if he died for 3 days, who was God during those 3 days?

nothing makes sense.

but everything in Islam Makes sense. wouldnt it be more logical that he were a Righteous Prophet of God, rather than God himself?

If you believe
1. that there is no object worthy of worship but Allah (God)
2. you believe in the angles
3. Heaven and hell
4. The Books that came before (the Old testament, Gospels, Quran)
5. you believe in the all the Prophets of God starting from Adam, including Moses, Jesus, Abraham, Noah, and Muhammad peace be upon all of them)
and finally
6. Divine decree.

than welcome to Islam.

Finally, if you do not wish to listen to anything i've said, at least do one thing which you have nothing to lose.

Seek guidance from God himself to guide you on the strait path, and see where it leads you.

I Swear by Allah, that if you Sincerely and whole-heartedly ask Him for Guidance to the truth. He will lead you to it.

you have nothing you lose.

I ask God to guide you all to the truth. ameen.

Very deep question, but no biggie. You see, God has an unchanging nature and though he has the power to make 1+1=Fish if he wants to he cannot violate his nature any more than a fish can live on land. If he could he would not be perfect and the basis of his power and authority would dissolve, in short, he would not be God. HENCE, when he created this world, he created it perfect and because of the spiritual dimensions embedded within the living things upon the earth and the earth itself (combined of course with the initial covenants with Adam and Eve) there are unavoidable consequences to actions. Asland has a bit to say about this before the stone table with the white witch( yes, Narnia is the Gospel played in fantasy genre). Just as 1+1=2, so would the wages of sin be death and the atonement be blood. As far as human sacrifice there was only one and in fact it was God himself who was the sacrifice and all before were mere foreshadows of the one perfect sacrifice to come and none have been necc. since. Incidentally it is sad that some say they became Muslim because of this. The reason there were thousands of years of Old Testament living with strict laws, ceremonies and sacrifices was to show the futility of such a system--enough so that anyone who could see the written record could follow the Grace of Christ and the true atonement instead.

The Christian/Jewish God is, in all technicality, is a blood-god. Blood has always been seen as the "life force" or rather, the soul is carried in the blood. Before the sacrifice of Christ, God was satisfied with animal sacrifices as penance for human sins. Christ is called "the perfect lamb" and with very good reason, he is the ultimate blood sacrifice to the blood god. And also the fact that Christ was (and is in my opinion) the Son of God the Father, it is also the ultimate sacrifice IN blood. The Son of God was sent to fulfill the prophesies and to "quench" the need for more blood sacrifices.
And also, Christianity is not the promotion of "goodness" it is the promotion of morality...big difference. Goodness is regulated to man which can never be perfect...morality is a much more attainable goal. Christian simple means a follower of the Christ...everything else is "dogma", not actual Christianity in the purest sense of the word. The Crusades, the Inquisition...all that is the dogma of MAN, not of Christianity.
You also must remember the three-in-one aspect of the Christian belief system...God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit are one deity, but three seperate entities, Christ was not MADE by God the Father...he is an aspect there of. When in Genesis God speaks, "let US make man in OUR own image," he is speaking to the other two aspects of Himself. And so to sacrifice the Son was sacrificing himself.
Hope this helps.

I've looked at all the answers you've received so far. Some of them come close, but none of them hits it dead-on. The fact is that the law of God states that the penalty for sin is death. That law is immutable. God's absolute standard of justice demands that the law be fulfilled above all else. So whenever anyone sins, even the slightest sin, the death penalty is demanded by the law. Nevertheless God in His great mercy has elected some people, before He ever created the world, to be forgiven of all their sins. How was that going to be accomplished ? Since the law demands payment for sins someone suitable had to be found to make that payment. Those who were to be forgiven could not do so because if they did, they would be dead forever. Not forgiven. So God Himself, in the person of Jesus paid the penalty for them. He died completely. How can God die ? It's a mystery. Nevertheless He did. He came back to life and received the name MY ONLY BEGOTTEN SON. At that point all the sins had been paid for, and God could now forgive His chosen people. Though that is not quite the end of the plan. There's more because creation had not yet happened. Then comes Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

Of course God could just forgive you outright for your sins and then we all could go to Heaven---yeah right. Think about it. You would have all kinds of people doing all sorts of things without the worry of right or wrong. Jesus took on flesh in order to be the sacrificial Lamb for Mankind. No "human" could have fufilled this task because man was born into sin. Whether you believe that Jesus was a prophet, a man or the Son of God (which I do believe that He was the Son of the Living God) take note at what the people around Him did. Man in his sinful nature took someone that was different, that only spoke truth and good and never once commited a single sin and crucified Him.
This was allowed to happen because it's the blood of Jesus that washes away our sins in the presence of God. Before this great event took place, man could only be judged according to his works in order to make it into Heaven, now you can be saved by grace.

I am a Wiccan Pagan, I don't believe in the christian religion. I don't believe in the devil or hell either. They are creations of the christians to ensure that people "behave" themselves.
jesus of nazzareth, was a carpenter's son, nothing more and nothing less. He had some really big ideas about changing they way people think and went around telling everyone and doing some "magic tricks" along the way to add some credence to what he was saying.
The Pharasees and the Sadducess were outraged by him, he was mocked and rejected by most of the jewish people and the Romans executed him to get rid of a trouble maker and keep the peace.
Christianity in my opinion is itself a logical fallacy

The answer is simple, Christianity is a hoax.

The omnipotent god of Christianity can do anything, yet he himself has to incarnate on Earth as a man to die for the sins of the world so that people will be able to enter Heaven. Yet this same Christianity forbids sacrifice (human or animal).

It's quite clear, really, Christianity is not what it professes itself to be.

Jesus is sinless. He was a sinless human and God all at the same time. He was the ultimate and last sacrifice. "For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son. For whosoever believe in him, shall not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16 That was the only way he could get all the unholy sinful people to Heaven.

Jesus died because you deserve too die. What do I mean? Because of sin in the world we all die. No this doesn't just mean die and be put in the ground or some other buriel death in the scriptures means an eternal seperation from God, in other words 'HELL'. Your probably thinking now then I don't believe in hell and why would a loving God send us to hell? Sorry if you don't believe in it, but we can't escape it its real. Just as real as you are, and I've never met you and I know your not some false person I've made up. And God doesn't send anybody to hell. We send ourselves. Yes you read it right we send ourselves. Its our 'reward' for sin we commit, and we can't stop it its what we deserve. Sin takes us there. For thousands of years mankind has tried to deal with the problem of sin but to no avail. They say that if we are good enough God will be happy and he might let us go to heaven. So they have lived their lifes as if they are on the X-Factor trying to perform to please God. Some others they deny the existence of an almighty god soi they don't have to worry about the consequenses when they die. Some believe in God but don't admit the world has any sin, so they can do as they like. The rest just deny that their is a hell? Why. S o they think that God would automatically allow them into heaven regardless of their life style. Still others think that hell can't be that bad so if they are going then its going to be alright. We can deny something as much as we try but the end result is, 'You can't get away from what is truth.' I can imagine right now you are being a real sceptic and thinking I'm talking crap. Ok ask people yourselve what they think about heaven and hell.
I tell you that the fact is Hell is real and if you don't know the solution to it you are going there.
Now comes the cool part. I've already mentioned the fact that we can't stop going to hell. Its what we deserve. Nothing wedo will be good enough for God, he will not allow sin into heaven. That's only like if you have a son or daughter whom you love with all your heart and they turn to drugs crime, and you say that you can't allow them living in your house why they hang around the people they do. You'll allow them back when they change.
But God didn't leave us to defend for ourselves that's why he sent his Son Jesus. Jesus died instead of you and me so that we could be saved from from hell. Jesus knew we couldn't do it ourselves so he did it by living a perfect life. The He who had no sin became our sin. God turned his back on his own son. That's why Jesus cried out 'My God, my God why have you forsaken me?' Not long after he shouted out 'It is finished.' This wasn't a shout of defeat but a cry of victory. Sin and death was destroyed Christ has conquered man's worst enemy. He had at last made a path to heaven. Its only a narrow one but its there. Jesus said, 'I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. Noone come to the Father except through me.' There is no other way to heaven no religion, no deny the existence of God or sin or Hell, or even being good. Jesus is the only way.
Why should he forgive us plain outright? When people are living in their sinful life styles and they don't bother with God. Ask yourself this question, 'Would you?'

As a scientist, I must answer in scientific terms; My studies have led me to believe that God is a being composed of cosmic energy and as such, had direct contact with Jesus, not as his son, but as a man whose life energy came directly from this being. If so, then Jesus had direct contact with this being so if God was about to wipe mankind off the face of the earth then it would make sense that he would give up his life in order to return to the forces that he came from in order to avoid the impending destruction.

Jesus had to sacrifice himself because doing so is a Victory over satan.

The devil called satan tried to convince od that mankind was loyal for selfish reasons but the fact Jesus paid for our Sins is proof against satan's opinions.
