I have been involved in the occult for over a decade and my boyfriend has been trying to convert me, but it aint going to happen. For most of the people that practice anything in the occult, they usually don't turn back. Their eyes have been open, why go back to closing them.

I met a guy about 20 yrs ago who was into the occult. He may have been a priest in the church of Satan though I am not sure. We were involved in skydiving at the time and this was just something that just came up in conversation. He carried around Tarot cards and the Satanic Bible authored by Anton Levay. When I saw Levay's picture in the Satanic Bible, I told him just picture that guy being the last thing you see as you are about to burn in. I said it as a joke in that I am not very religious but he took it seriously. The next thing I knew he became a born again Christian. My opinion is that regardless of his beliefs he was mentally unstable in that he was allowing religion to control his life as opposed to a search for the truth through logic and reason. We were not given the power to reason to trick us. Science is the most reliable way to ascertain the truth. What it tells us is sometimes disturbing but is nevertheless what seems to be the best way to search for the truth which is what I feel we are all searching for. Search for the truth by science not scripture.

there is a christian comedian named Mike Warnke. he made several albums/cassettes of christian comedy routines in the 70's and 80's
ANYWAY, he also wrote an autobiography called "Satan Seller", which told his story of how he came out of the occult (he was a high priest of Satan, with 3000 people in his coven). He is now, obviously, a born-again christian.
I dont think he is still doing comedy, unfortunately, because he is REALLY funny. But i think you can go to a christian bookstore to get satan seller. if they dont have it, i am fairly confident it can still be ordered.

I was an Occultist and I was Born Again!
I made the fatal mistake, though, of questioning things that I 'felt' weren't quite right.
That's when I found I only needed a temporary crutch due to issues that needed resolving within me.
Suffice to say, I overcame those issues and no longer needed a crutch of deceit and hypocrisy(which my questions uncovered)as it was only hindering my spiritual growth.
I now enjoy a wonderful, productive life and continue to study the workings of the Occult.(which means 'hidden', btw, as does Gnostic)

One word of advice....question EVERYTHING.

Yes, I was into astrology, witchcraft, tarot,automatic writing. I even had a group of satanists give me their bible.I renounced it all

no mater what you have been involved in Jesus Christ will accept you.all you have to do is admit to God that you are a sinner.then ask God to forgive you for your sins.then ask Jesus to come in to your hart and to be your savior.the last step is to tell someone that you have accepted Jesus as your savior and have become a christian.

Yes, you can be. Accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior and pray and ask for forgiveness.
How to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior:
1. I encourage everyone to read the New Testament of the Bible (especially the first 6 books: Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts, & Romans) to personally define what a Christian is to you.
2. You must develop your own beliefs and follow them. If you do not have a strong, personal relationship with Jesus, then you will eventually question your faith.
3. You should never stop praying the Sinner's Prayer.
4. Continue to grow in your faith. Read your Bible, share your faith, walk in the path of the Lord. Be blessed.

Sinner's Prayer
Acceptance. You must accept the fact the you are a sinner and are "dead" in those sins.

Like the rest, we were by nature objects of wrath.
Next, after admitting that you are a sinner and no different from anyone else, you should ask for
Forgiveness.
(Acts 2:37-38 NIV) When the people heard this, they were cut to the heart and said to Peter and the other apostles, "Brothers, what shall we do?" {38} Peter replied, "Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. Having asked for forgiveness, Believe that Jesus died for those sins to give you eternal life.
(John 3:16 NIV) "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
Now, ask Jesus to become Lord of your Life. Ask Him to dwell in your heart.
(Eph 3:16-17 NIV) I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, {17} so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith...
Lord Jesus, I am a sinner!
I want forgiveness for all my sins, my past sins and present sins.
I believe that you died on a cross for me and then rose alive on the third day.
I believe that through your sacrifice and resurrection, I have the hope of eternal life.
