I know this sounds like granny talk, but u might just be going through something sweetie (lol, i didnt have to add the sweetie on the end).
But seriously, the best way to feel good about yourself is to do something that feels good. I don't know you, but I'm pretty sure you have promise and you can stop hating yourself. I know there is something either u enjoy doing, or you're good at doing. Sometimes, focusing on the things we do the best can help us be more encouraged. Don't try and fix everything, just focus on what you have.
I don't know if you're a Christian or not, but pray to God too. It doesn't take anything fanciful...anything elaborate. Just ask for encouragement...he'll give it to you. Prayer is a beautiful and very powerful thing.
I wish you the best of luck. I know you're going to be allright! Send me a message if u need anything.

You should learn first to forgive yourself for what you have done in the past. Always remember that there are things in the past which we feel guilty about at the moment. This makes us hate ourselves. To learn to love yourself again, learn to think of your mistakes as your lessons in life to make you a better person but don't ever hate yourself for them. Nobody is perfect. What matters most now is not how you feel about your past mistakes or sins but the sincerity of your wanting to become a better person.
Feelings of depression or loneliness are normal in every person which can be explained by what we call biorhythm. Every month, when a person knowledgeable about graphing biorhyhm cycles, graphs his own biorhythm chart, there are periods in the cycle that the points will go down and sometimes they will go up. The down cycle represents the period in a month's time that this person will be proned to depression and loneliness sometimes without any reason at all. This is called his "low biorhythm cycle." During his "high biorhythm cycle", this person, on the other hand, experiences joyful moments and is not proned to the feeling of depression at all. Buy books about biorhythm and you will understand yourself better.
About your feeling of discouragement, it's normal for people who lack self-drive to have that much needed feeling of self confidence. Right now, because you still hate yourself, you are discouraged with the very thought that you yourself have feelings of guilt which makes it difficult for you to believe that you can change yourself for the better. Every moment offers a room for change. Don't waste it. You deserve to be happy.

I can't explain, as I have no idea about your history or how you act.
But...
Why not look into the self help section of the book store. With no particular book in mind, just recognize what might give some insight...
It takes a lifetime to cultivate ourselves.

That happens to many of us, it's easy giving advice, but not following it, and, dude, don't be so shady, think positive, look for the bright side(even though most of the time it's hard to find)

What part of your self that you hate? Saying "I hate myself" is pretty broad and senseless. At times people that says "I hate myself" are those who are dissapointed at something and they tend to say that because of the extent of the dissapointment.
Asking people to help you is great, but you have to specify what it is in your self that you hate or dissapointed.
