Dude.... all the time. I go to school sometimes (I'm a college student) and the age range is so broad that it's often hard to tell whether the girl is 16 or 18 or 22. I try to discern from conversation whether she's of legal drinking age ("Do you gamble?" [I live in Las Vegas]) or whatever. But it sucks. I don't wanna get odd looks for talking to a girl that's much too young for me, nor do I wanna flirt with a girl that was born in 1988 or something.

In this place you have to really be on your guard--you simply never know what the story is--I have had unbelievable experiences--females talking really mature stuff and presenting themselves as being this and that and you get into an exchange and all of a sudden you're feeling like perv city because you find out that the gal is only 13-14 yrs old---then there are the role players--the cross over gays that like to take on the female ID--avatar and role--talk just enough female jive to lure some guy into responding on that level and playing THAT game for kicks---with all the heat on guys who predicate (rightfully so in my book)--straight up dudes have to worry like hell that they're not going to get busted somehow for conversing with some super young gal who has presented herself as something different--she is still somehow considered by the society as not being responsible for anything and the guy is just automatically condemned to die at sunup because he's guilty as sin without even so much as a hearing on the subject---keeps one on his toes---so the answer to this is a resounding YES for it is a mine field out here in that reguard

I personally have not "approached" a girl in 33 years,because I am 53 and married. But,I can understand how a guy would be nervous about the gal being too young,especially if he is looking to make it with her.

Nowadays, you must ask for ID! I spoke to one young lady for two months before she told me the truth that she was lying about her age by 2 years! Got me once, that is all it takes!
