It must be working , if two years now .Why are you asking , if she is all you want ? Unless you have doubts about her ? People have stayed married for longer to a spouse that travels away for work ( a day or even a month space ).Trust and talking things over will help you .If there were something to question , then after all this time , both if you should have respect to keep honest .Most colleges are a few miles or states away and people work with the distance .Sure that's a drive but people that live walking distances have the same chance of not working or working .Love her , tell her , show her when your together .Nice to see you respect that distance ( I assume you do ) , isn't something to stop you .Well , seems your asking , I'd say there could be many girls closer ( in sight ) but if she's in your heart , she is always there .

A long distance relationship is has a small down side you my have to some trouble understanding what is going on and what is new with her so a tip for you is to just call her and and tell her what is new and also let her spark up some conversations by asking her what new. Talking on the phone is better then emailing though because she can hear you and you will have less miss comunication that way.
no distance is to far when your in Love be it four hours or 12 hours because when your in love that bond is strong. believe me four hours is not that far so go ahead and date.

4 hours that's not that bad. I dated woman that it was a 5 hour flight to see them. My one brother is dating a woman that lives in another country on the other side of the world.
you can do this if you love them strong enough.

Grr... please don't listen to the people who say that it won't work. It can and will work it both of you want it to. It has to be a full commitment on both sides or it will fall apart. You can't have doubts. You have to trust them. And if you do have doubts you have to bring them to each other's attention.
Communication is the key. Talk, write emails/IM, meet, as often as possible. LDRs can work. They do work. Don't let other people tell you that they don't.
If you truely love someone it won't matter where they are in the world as long as you will get to see them again in the near future and get to talk to them/or have contact with them often.
Remember trust and communication and you'll be just fine!
Good luck!!! ^_^

its ok, i live the same way. i been with my boyfriend for the last 3years and we have a longdistance relationship. its sooo hard, but it works as long as theres lots of love in between us. if u really love her, u should have no problem. but i warn u, it can cause a lot of problems, about 90% of our arguments result from the distance nd the fact that we miss each other. but we always pull through because we love each other and we know we were meant for each other. jus make sure u talk every single day, meet each other as often as u can and show her u love her in cute lil ways, lik sendin ecards, or flowers stuff lik that good luck!

If you really care for you girlfriend and you both want it to work, it will. I had a cousin that lived in Virginia and her boyfriend lived in Georgia and their relationship worked. They are now married with a kid. So I guess it all depends on the people involved, so don't let all those negative answers scare you.

4 hours isn't much. You can at least see each other once a month.
As long as there is trust, you'll be fine.

its very hard to do, but if you are both sure about each other and how one another feels then it may just work out some do and some dont, keep one another happy, just because you cant hold her like you want you are both in each others thoughts, good luck!

Sorry....I really don't think long distance relationsips don't work. If you are really serious about this girl...you should move closer to her. Otherwise, find a new girlfriend.
