You are absolutely correct.
I am an atheist, make no attempt to pretend otherwise, and do not post comments to offend or make anyone angry.
I post the truth as I know it and if that makes people angry, they should look within themselves to discover the reason. Anger is usually indicative of lack of faith or doubt in one's faith.
Faith that cannot withstand scrutiny or questioning isn't faith at all.
Atheism is certainly attacked more than any other belief (or non-belief) and if atheists weren't firm in their beliefs (or non-beliefs) they couldn't be atheists.
Agnostics don't count, they have no beliefs, one way or another.
You are correct.

If what athiests say really threatens you that much, then you have your own issues. Athiests are very nice people from my experience when it comes to their actions. They actually have to be twice and kind as "christians" to be respected at all by the majoraty. So if there were no atheists around, there would be a lot of people that wouldn't have gotten helped out in the world.
..............And also, I find your language very obcene, especially your message wich is more important than the words people actually use anyway.

Atheists always get portrayed by Christians as cruel and intolerant (a symptom of the infamous "martyr complex") but it's you Christians who:
-Get government legislation for your beliefs
-Trample on the civil rights of others
-Attempt to ban material that you find offensive
-Teach unscientific beliefs in science class
-Violently preach at unbelievers
-Insult other religions (Islam, Hiduism, Judaism, etc)
And because logical and scientific arguments against your god simply give you more faith, it would be nice if you would never reproduce.

Any vacancy would be filled by some other potential occupant. God will always provide balance, and that His characteristic of being just in giving mankind free will. I'm not quite worried of having any challenge to my faith bigger than them. Atheists actually do have god/s. The term is just a referring means. Every Prophet has rivals, that's how I was told.

I agree!
It very annoying at times to listen to non believers try and rattle on about bible verses they don't even understand.
Every once in awhile someone will throw one out there that is so off, I have to look it up just to see what point they were trying to make. I usually get so into what I am reading, I forgot what their question was.
So, I guess a thank you could be in order.

ok I'm a Christian (a very open minded one) and I think you should just relax and not care what anyone else thinks. it sounds like you're the one who is trying to start a fight with the whole "please respond" thing. You judgemental/biblethumping Christians take things way too far and end up making us all look bad. anyways, go read the bible, whip yourself for your daily sins, then have a warm glass of milk.

There'd be a lot less adult whining that's for sure, either that or just less whining. I miss the olden days of pleding to our flag and keeping God number one. If you questioned the exisitance of God it was like questioning the exsistance of air...yet another thing you can't see, but need to survive!

to some extent every person is an atheist. for example; if I believe in the Greek or roman gods and I am deeply convinced that my faith is true then those that would view my belief as being to ridiculous to consider true would be an atheist to me.

How sad this post is. It is not a real question at all, just an attempt to one up somebody else. Look, I am a christian yet do not find any need to justify my beliefs nor need to put anyone down in order to feel superior. If you are a christian, then you know it a sin to judge others. It is also not polite to use a religious "zeal" to feel better than others. I am glad you find reasons each day to be more secure in your beleaf system and to find the streangth you need to be sturdy in your faith. However, if you look at what you wrote, listen to the words as though they were spoken aloud, you may hear some things which are not becoming of a christian. I am not mad, I am simply sad. Jesus does not intend for us to fight amoung ourselves. Our second most important commandment is to love one another. It would be easy to love and accept others who are very much like us, those who belieave exactly the same as we do, those who think the way we do, those who live the way we do, those who conduct their lives as we do, etc. It is a much more difficult job to accept and love those whe are very much different than we are. Those who think differently, those who beleave differently, those who worship differently, or who do not worship at all, those who do not look like us or live life as we do. God knew what he was doing when he gave us this commandment and then made us all so very different. It is not my job, as a christian or otherwise to judge others, or to put them down due to different beliefs or ways of looking at things. It is not my job to disrespect others due to those differences nor to think I am better somehow just because I firmly beleave I have the "right" religious beleaf system. God loves us all, not just christians, all of us, every single soul he placed on this earth. He has his reasons for making things the way they are and I do not feel in any postition to be questioning his work or second quessing his reasons. I would like to see all God children live in peace, to agree to disagree when we do not think the same about an issue or situation. How am I to say my way is the only right way? I have no right to do so. God is the only one who has that right. God is the only with judgement rights. We, as his children are charged with doing our level best to walk in His footsteps to immulate Him as best we can. He does not expect us to be perfect as he was, but only to try to do His will in our own lives. Our individual lives are the only one with which we have a right to judge. We can judge ourselves and no others. Please listen to the real message Jesus left us with and try to accept others as God made them. It will make for a much happier, less stressful, more loving and accepting life. God wants us to be happy, to learn and grow.
We come into this world with nothing but our souls. When we leave we take nothing but our souls with us, and all we add to them while here. May God bless and keep you always.
