Should we have rules from other religions posted alongside them too? I think it would be interesting to have a whole wall with lots of different religions rules on it. There could be artwork in the background and stuff. And it would remind people that there are lots of different cultures and beliefs out there. And it might promote respect towards them. Or, people might learn about them and not respect them after knowing more about them. I don't know, I guess it just depends on the person and the religion.

Hey, I just want it noted, that I'm not for the posting of them, and I am for total seperation of church and state. People must have missed the last part. Having a wall full of various religious stuff is different then teaching it in school. I don't appreciate being called communistic. People shouldn't assume stuff by the questions people ask. Religion was tought in the schools I went to. It was part of history. It was just teaching about other people's beliefs though for the most part, as part of explaining why what happened happened. And why people did the stuff they did. I am from utah though too. So they basicly tought mormon history in utah history. I'm way against churchlessons being tought in shcool. Having a wall with a collage of a variety of religious words and artwork isn't really teaching religion in school though. It would be a diversity thing, just like when they have displays of differnted cultural things on walls.

No, we shouldn't. Public schools should have the constitution posted. Not a religious document.

I think you're entire question is a great question, to show that by displaying rules of all religions, then there would be no prejudice against any certain religion. Even if ONLY the Ten Commandments were posted, WITHOUT giving God the Credit, it should be titled something like "A List of Ten Very Good Ideas to Get You Through Life." Of course God gets the credit, but if you labeled it differently, would it be accepted THEN? A world without hatred and prejudice, I think that would have to be called Eden or for the non-religious, Utopia.

I totally agree. America is founded on diversity and I really don't care that 83% of the country is Christian. Christianity isn't, despite what Christians say, the be all and end all of reigions.
If we are going to post the ten commandments, then we need to post other "commandments" (or whatever terminology those cultures use) from other belief systems.
I also believe that if we are going to teach Creationism, we also need to teach how the Osage and the Buddhists and Zorastorians and other religions came to be as well.

-As for this "Wall of Variety"- You'll probably find that there's actually not that much variation among the "rules" (unless you include eastern religions as well)- Religions are like football teams. Christian, Catholic, Jewish, Muslim, etc...They may have different founders, different names, different...coaches... even different strategies- but they're all playing the same game- for the same league. So, I say go ahead and post them all, maybe make a point to highlight all the similarities.

WHAT does your common-sense say about those Commandment's??? What does Religion have to do with it???? Would you want to live in a country where you could break those Commandment's with-out any official penaltie's???? Would you like to live in a country with no law's?????Did you know that there are literally ten's of thousand's of LAW's on the book's to support the TEN COMMANDMENT's???? You don't have to believe in GOD to obey the rest of them!!!!! Now, don't you think that they should be posted in the School's and every-where else!!!!! If a person dosen't want to live in a land that has LAW's then, better strap on a 44 if you want to live like that!!!!!!!! Ditto!!!!!!

That's an excellent idea so long as you pay for it.
Public facilities are maintained by tax dollars and I cannot think of a bigger waste for tax dollars.
Maybe we should put up the Wall Street Journal so kids would actually read something useful.

i think of the factor is attempting to rigidity the religion on a captive purpose marketplace. Any given city could have dozens of church homes for each public college and in user-friendly terms one courthouse. no person is legally required to attend church, yet almost each and every person is had to flow to a school or court docket proceeding in some unspecified time interior the destiny.

Great idea! Now get together a few million dollars, and start your own religious private school where you can enact that plan! Meanwhile, back at the ol' public school, I'll be using useful and constitutional materials provided by tax dollars.

ABSOLUTELY!!! On the question about the ten commandments being allowed in schools. And no to your next question. What you are suggesting about all different rules would only cause confusion which the author of confusion is satan. He would love to have it that way. But God's way is the only correct way.

Pretty interesting. Try starting out small. Take up list of your felloe schoolmates you may share your views amd presen it to your teacher. Maybe they can use you idea for a theme. Something like "Relegions of your Neighbor". You never know what ripple may become a wave in the pool of knowledge.

There are too many religions to do that. it would be incredibly expensive.
The only reason the teach about how my church was force out of the US entirely, is because my ancestors where apart of the huge movement out of the US, It wasn't only Mormons, Gold diggers, Trappers, etc. it was just one group.
