Sad to say, but I think America is probably one of the greatest problems this world is facing.

It's not terrorists.. jeeze krapoleze. They've been around forever, it's only America that has stirred them up with our corporate greed and the Bush Administration.

Terrorists.. they are the ones with the nasty nuclear bombs. right? I don't think most Americans know how many nuclear warheads we ourselves have!!!

We have over 5,000 ACTIVE nuclear warheads in our possession! almost 10,000 in total. WTF do we need with 10,000 nuclear warheads?!?! freaking good grief. In the past three years, we've killed thousands.. whoze the terrorists? I'm losing track. I support the troops, but I don't support the decision maker.

Aside from the war crud.. we have the power (resources) to be the most powerful nation around. But we use it in what I feel are the wrong ways. I mean come on, we're taxed beyond belief and yet our school systems, public transportation, healthcare is freaking out of control, good freaking bloody hail! We spend more money and resources on military than all other countries put together. And where do you think all that money is going? Who's pocketing the profits? Big freaking corporations. If we just took 5% of the military spending and put it into the other issues, we could be finding cures and helping those that need it. We have starving people, homeless people right here. 5% cut in military is not going to stop our country from defending ourselves from attacks and whatnot.

I think being proud to be an American is more difficult for every American to say anymore. We consume a gigantic percentage of the worlds resources as compared to our population. That's sickening in itself. I watch the learning channel where they rip up perfectly good household kitchens - throw it in the dump - and make new kitchens just because it's more visually appealing. We're so dam spoiled rotten it's sick. We buy groceries and throw half of it away when it spoils. We build mansions for one person to live in. We buy brand new appliances because the corporations make it too expensive to fix the old ones. Things last 5 years instead of 50. How long do you think things would last if we required the corporations to take back the appliances and cars after their life cycle was up to recycle the goods? SUVs are used primarily for moving one person to and from work and everywhere else. The Hummer?

Money / corporate greed have become the American way - that's the primary problem with respect to everything. And most of it revolves around our judicial system. When you award millions of dollars to one person for a spilt cup of coffee, it's screwed.

I asked a person who moved here.. does she like it better here or from the third world developing nation she came from.. she had to think for quite a while. That's pathetic. We get the same score as a third world nation? When I ask why... her response was "here it's nuts. all the rules and regulations and people winning crazy lawsuits.. at least in my country you can live your life."

I don't think America is seeing the changes we're going through and what we could be doing to the entire world. We're just going through life.. day by day.. the American throw-away society. Throwing away our freedoms, throwing away our rights, and throwing away our future so we can live the now.

I think the world's biggest problem is one culture not accepting another for what it is. War is often caused by a race, culture, or most likely a religious faction trying to impose its way of life on an another. If we could all just accept that different cultures live by their own sets of rules, and worship what they believe to be a higher power- because that's what they choose, there would be a lot less hatred among us. Who knows- Buddhists, Muslims, Christians- could all be right!

The world's greatest problem is sin...which means missing the mark. We are a selfish species. Ever hear the parable of the long spoons? I can't remember it exactly but it went something like this: A seeker wanted to know the difference between heaven and hell. The Master showed him a banquet where everyone was given long spoons to eat with. The people at the table were starving to death because the spoons were too long and they couldn't get the food into their mouths. The Master said, "This is hell." Then he showed him another banquet where people were celebrating and enjoying the feast, even with long spoons. The difference was everyone was feeding each other instead of themselves. The spoons easily reached the mouth of the other person, and everyone got plenty to eat. "This is heaven," the Master said.

Population control. With 6 billion of us living on this plant, with declining resources, it is the number 1 problem. At what point will the population get to the point were the earth can longer support all of us? 7, 8, 9 10 billion?
Today we see millions of people starving to death, I predict it will get even worse in the future.

Tangible, no. Tribes and tribal warfare. As long as this piece of land is fighting that piece of land, or worried what the other is doing, There will be no peace. To be clear, countries are no more than tribes to me, I'm not talking about a group of huts in central Africa.
