Was your son murdered? If so, there is the group, Parents of Murdered Children. I lost my first born son. He was an infant. I did go on to have three more children.
I am sorry for your loss. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. I would suggest talking with someone. Either a counselor, minister or the like.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I haven't gone through this myself, but I have gone through a very difficult time, and going to a therapist helped tremendously.
Some people are reluctant to go to therapy because of "what would people think?" or "I'm not crazy." Being depressed isn't crazy -- it's the most natural thing in the world considering what you've gone through -- but trust me, visiting a competent therapist can work wonders.
It can't make your hurt go away, and they won't try to. But they will listen to whatever you have to say and make useful suggestions.
I hope this helps.

It's never easy losing a child no matter what their age is; lost my one year old after she had heart surgery; I felt isolated and down for a long time ; still have my down periods but I always remember the year I had with her. I did receive some grief counseling and it did help; both with a clinical counselor and my Pastor. Go to your Pastor or Spiritual adviser or your regular physician and ask for Help groups in your city or town;believe me it dose help to talk with someone that has a similar situation.
Hope these two websites help.

I am sorry but I cannot relate to having lost a child.
However i am a mother of a little boy who will only ever be an only child. I have lost 2 pregnancies and that hurt alot.
However you spent 18yrs with your little boy.
When it comes to dealing with losing a child, don't think that they are gone forever cause they never are. You will always hold them deep in your heart.
There bodies might not be alive but their soles live forever and your son lives know through you.
Never think that they are gone, just remember that they were here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My brother just died last year and my mom was terrified, too. You should see a counselor and talk to your friends and other family, and get support. I know it must feel like abig part of you died, but you can bounce back.It didn't seem like it for me, but I had to accept that he's gone and he's in such a better place. God bless you and I know you'll feel better. It's seems like you can't live but you will, and it will get better if you just accept that things happen for a reason and it'll all be okay.. Hope great things for you...

Is your son moving out of the house or did you actually lose a child? You can actually speak to counselors for a reasonable fee live right now over the phone. Here is the direct link---> http://www.keen.com/search/default.asp?searchtype=all&search=psychologist&submit.x=0&submit.y=0
Hope this helps.

That's one of the hardest things in life, but think that your son wouldn't want you to be so depressed, live your life, start over again, just never forget about him, keep him alive in your memory.
