My really old panasonic has a tv/video button which doesn't do anything. Not sure if this is a defect or not.

In order to play dvds I haev to hook my dvd player to my vcr. However I experience constant switching between fuzziness and clarity. I saw the same problem with a ps2. Is there any solution to stop this fuzziness?. If possible is there any way to access video 1 or 2 on my tv? I believe my tv has the model number TQB2A0722-1

the constant fuzzy issue is the copyright protection circuit in the vcr. you can not run a signal from a dvd player thru a vcr like that. you must go thru an RF modulator as another person stated. avalible from radioshack. the ps2 sends the same signal. dont do this too often or you will fry the copyright circuit in the vcr. as far as the inputs, it may be a problem in the tv there. if its really an issue take it to a local repair man.

Hook the DVD direct to the TV using the TV's vid/audio jacks and pushing the TV/Vid sw. to the Video mode. In some locations, the local UHF stations can be strong enough to "bleed" right through the old braided copper coax jumper cable from the VCR to the TV. The approx.3' length makes a dandy UHF antenna. Using the new foil jacketed cable will solve that problem.

Try hooking the DVD/PS2 directly to your tv using the audio/video cords. Then press the video button and see what happens. If that doesn't work you can buy a converter (I know they sell them at Radio Shack) where you can still use your DVD/PS2 without going through your VCR.

Does your remote have an input button? If so maybe you can hit that and switch between inputs.
And the reason your PS2 and DVD player does that when you hook them up through a V.C.R. is to prevent illegal copying of DVD's. I know it sucks but that's the way it is.
Good Luck.

Pull out the antenna cable, and it should clear up.

probably a button on your TV remote will do the trick, a "zoom" pr "p-size" button...it could say one of many things.
