It really sounds like restless legs syndrome. I have it, too. Have you been diagnosed by a doctor? If not, you should go see a doc, because there is a drug, Requip (ropinirole) that is now being used to treat RLS and had been shown to be quite effective. My neurologist gave me some, but I have avoided taking it so far, only because I'm already taking a couple of other medications for migraines and I didn't want to add another medication if I could avoid it...I get the worst symptoms late at night or if I am very tired. I cannot keep my legs still; I absolutely MUST move them, or at least tense up the muscles. Sometimes, it keeps me from being able to fall asleep or sit comfortably in a chair or ride in a car for any length of time (over say, 10 mins.). If I am trapped riding in a car sometimes stamping my feet helps. When I am driving, it's the worst. I feel so agitated, too, just as you were describing, and unable to relax. I also get the same feeling in my arms, but to a much lesser degree. Sometimes I have to stop using the computer at night because I can't sit there any longer. Cr@p!

So...I definitely feel your pain. Check out the website I pasted and go see a doc. Good luck.

Edit: even though masturbating seems to relieve the symptoms, I don't think it is CAUSING the symptoms. The systemic "release" of masturbating is probably a temporary fix for the RLS symptoms.

sounds like restless leg syndrome. in my opinion when you masterbate your using it as a release mechanisim not neccesarily the masterbation being the prob;em. try taking a shower before bedtime and leave your room dark no lights or tv it triggers your brain to release your feel good chemicals for sleep. if it all else fails go see your doc he can determine if indeed it is restless.... and if it isnt then he will find out what is causing it and prescribe you some medication if deemed necessary..good luck

Wow, sounds awful. I suggest you see a doctor about that. They have a new medicine for restless legs syndrome too.

Can't be RLS as it is only in your legs. Must be some sort of other nerve deal...good luck

I doubt compulsive masturbation has anything to do with it.
